To put fish in? Depends on the fish.

To actually go fishing, depends on what you are fishing for. Once the water temps reach 60 degrees, it is a good time.

Trout, walleye, chubs and pike are a colder water and prefer the 55-60 colder streams.

Bass, crappie, bluegill, perch I found hit better once the water reaches 69-75

Catfish spawn once the water reaches 75-80 and are better to catch in the fall once the temps remain warmer longer.

If it is a tropical tank it shold be between 76 and 80 most heated will heat it to 78

My angel tank is at 80, and the community tank stays close to 76-78

Tropical Fresh water (guppys, mollys, platys, danios etc.) like around 75°F

Goldfish are happier with cooler room temperature water 65° to 70°

15oc and above is best for most fish not all tho, early morning or tea time
