The largest gold fish in the world on record is the one that copper head named, however there are record fish in Japan which were recorded to be in excess of 32 inches and over 18 pounds.

These came from Japanese web pages since that is where the gold fish originated. My daughter left so I have no translator for these pages.

The biggest I came to know from News was from China/or some where Oriental...It was an Oranda Goldfish..Think it weight more than 1 kg!

My heaviest goldfish was a Ryukin weighing over 500 g, bigger than an adult palm!
