im thinking all african chiclids and will i have to go bigger once they are grown should i go with a 150 gallon maybe?

can 2-4 otos live with 1 comet, 2 shubunkins and 1 clown pleco in a 33 gal. aquarium? there is a heck of alot of algae and I want to give the plec a little help. I know those fish get big so when they get to about 5 inch ill trade em' in.

hi all,
i was jus wondering how i use my gravel cleaner?
i fink that is what it is!
its a long tube fing, with a plastic fing at the bottom, do i have suck the water up? how does it clean the gravel?
wont it suck the gravel and fish up to? thanks guys

I have the beta in a kit where they give you food and chlorine for the water. But my beta isn't eating for the past three days and I don't know how to keep the water warm. Is having cold water going to harm my beta? Why isn't he eating? Is it the food that I'm giving him? I got the flaky food is that okay? And another thing is that the water is going muggy really fast. I don't know if it's from the food that is left over in the tank. Please help me because I don't want to kill him! Thanks.

my betta fish are not cooraperating with me. all the male does is bite the female even thought the female is full of eggs. like people said u have to hve the tankclean and have warm water... well i did that he still bites her. when i put the female in with the male she gets all stripy. what do i do to make then cooaperate.
last question why does my male and female have white dots on there fins?

My fish tank just started getting like a funny color blur a bit on the yellow side , so since we eat food coloring I was wondering if the fish could stand it if I added it to the water to change that ugly tint? I don't want to hurt my fish.

Got this fish in Kuwait, Its 2.5 inches oval chubby lil fish, each fish is a different color , like pastel blue, purple,pink, green,yellow. I bought the pastel blue fish and pastel pink fish. They didnt know the name of this fish. Does anyone have a clue as to the species? Silver/white around the black eye.

I have an 18 gallon aquarium with these fish:
- 3 glowlight tetras
- 3 neon tetras
- 2 algae eaters
- 2 fancy female guppies
- 1 fancy male guppy
- 3 sunset coral dwarf platy

am I overcrowding my tank? the person at petsmart said they grow really slowly when in captivity. is that true? and I have 2 female guppies that have a small black spot on their body and you can see it on the other side too. is this natural or is she pregnant? if i am not overcrowding my tank what other fish can i fit in my tank? thank you very much for your time! :-)

I have 1 Dragon Goby ,3 Balas,1 pleca,1 irid shark..In a 55 Gal. As it says above, I recently got two new fish, the sign said they were both female, but one became very, very fat! I checked online, and it sort of looks like one of my fish is pregnant. How can I tell if they are both female, or one female and one male?

ive just started up a aquarium, i dont know much about this kind of thing. i have a 3foot tank, and its been set up for about 3weeks now. the water isnt dirty or anythink. but i was wondering when i shud do the first change? also how do i do it?
ive heard ppl say do a 10-30% change but how much is that?
is it ok if i fill a bucket that i bought for my aquarium only leave it over night so that it reaches room temp, add some water conditioner then put it in my tank??
and just do that every week?
also my platie is pregnant and all i have in my tank is a big artificial moss ball a big piece of bogwood and sum rocks and tall plants, do you think there is anough hiding places for the fry?? thanks in advance
