can 2-4 otos live with 1 comet, 2 shubunkins and 1 clown pleco in a 33 gal. aquarium? there is a heck of alot of algae and I want to give the plec a little help. I know those fish get big so when they get to about 5 inch ill trade em' in.

The otos really won't like the cool water or the waste that goldfish produce. Otos are pretty sensitive to ammonia and nitrites. I would suggest a bit larger water changes and shorten how long your lights are on to control the algae.

Honestly a Pleco is more the cold water type for your tank. You should try another one.

you could always go with a snail.

Try to get hold of Ottocinclus Affinis as these are only about 1.5" long when fully grown. We have 3 of them in our tank and they are great.
