fish do not sleep, when he light turns off they simply constrict their movements enough for them to recover energy. Get a fish tank, put a few fish in there, turn off the light untill they stop moving, and then immediatly turn on the light. They move while hte light is off because they need water to pass through their mouth for them to be oxygenated.

Fish do sleep. But with their eyes open. :)
If you have a fish tank with a hooded light- turn the light off at night for them to sleep easier.
