Probably. I would suggest leaving the light off the entire time instead of on the entire time. If possible getting a timer from the department store would solve this dilemma.

Please don't leave the light on for 24/7. No creature wants to be in light all the time. I agree with the algae growth also. Too much light is not a good thing. Maybe they feel like the area is to open for them to venture far. Do you have rocks, plants and areas to swim to and hide? 60 gallons is a big area. Maybe you could try this. Also, what is the temp. of the water? If it is on the cool side the fish will be less active. A temp. between 75 and 78 is a good average for sharks and most tropical fish.

No. Your fish need regular cycles of light and dark for good health...much like they would get in the wild. Leaving the light on 24/7 would also cause unsightly algae to proliferate. Some fish are nocturnal and will sleep during the day and come out when it is dark. This is just the kind of fish they are and you cannot and should not try to force them into being something they are not.

The Quran mentions 'barzakh' meaning a barrier. It separates salt water from sweet water. The 'Barzakh' is unquestionably no longer a barrier . that's truly the option . The waters at the prompt are not forbidden to tresspass. sweet water flowing from the rivers and salt water do no longer blend in the present day yet ultimately they blend. that's like once you pour milk in a cup of espresso they don't blend right away yet once you stir them they blend.

no, the fish should be fine. The light won't really affect them. the only thing is using and wasting electricity....
