Fish - December 2006

i went to feed my fish this morning and i saw something white that looks like wet cotton and it is near the gravel in my aquarium.
well,i wasnt surprised cause i have 2 tetras that has a bulky belly(looks like its carrying eggs).
But i dont really know if those are eggs or not, if yes,whose eggs? i also got some glowlight tetras with my neons.
please tell me what do neon tetra eggs look like.
or show me(give a link).

I've a betta and he just fell down from a height yesterday.He is now okay but will he develop any serious diseases like ammesia?He also swam head down on the gravel right after the fall.If any one thinks he is sick can y'all tell me?

They are small...only 6 of em was I able to separate...I think the rest were eaten (not too sad...no room for more than this...) When can I put them in with the adult guppies (3 female, 2 male...10 gallon tank)

Will the fish die of "lonely stress" if I only buy one? Do certain breeds of cory catfish function better alone than others like panda or bronze?

Today my goldfish keep floating on the top of the water. It didn't flip over, and other fish are fine. It have a broken fin. And everytime he try to swim to the lower level or taking a rest it just float to the top-water.

i got 2 fish for christmas one likes like a normal gold fish maybe a fancy but the head is normal sized but the other is speckled isnt egg shaped like the goldfish it is long more like a trout but it doent look like a gold fish wal-mart sold it but i have bought a betta and catfish as a goldfish there before can anyone help me and i got another question i got a 5 gallon aquarium and two goldfish or one goldfish and what ever the other fish is and a catfish they should be fine right ??????

Okay, so I JUST got home from the fish place, and i completly forgot what type of fish i own. soooooo.. let me describe them, they are both gray with two darker gray strips down the front of them and they have like bigger fins underneath them, like under their rear area. And i want to know if they can live without the filter going, because it just broke. Thanks for all of your help.

I cleaned my tank but only vaccumed the rocks didn't do the full treat like I usual do and now they all have ich it is so upsetting I became teary eyed as how to explain to my 4 yr old that they whole tank is done for. Or is it? Could I get meds tomorrow and they survive? How can I raise the temp I read that some where. Or b/c of the white spots are they dead already Help please Thanks Samantha

The people at the pet store said that it was one kind of fish, but when i looked for pictures there wasnt any on the internet and the ones that i did find looked way different then the fish i have. Is there any websites that can help me identify the fish??????

Ok so I posted before about how I used the wrong kind of ammonia to cycle my tank. I emptied out my entire tank, and just finished rinsing huge buckets of gravel.(The inside glass as well, along with the plants) I rinsed each bucketfull four times, maybe more, to get rid of whatever chemical residue may be on it. It has a funky smell, but I am unsure if that is the gravel itself or from whatever was in the ammonia. Do you think this is enough rinsing before I put the gravel back in my tank?

i have goldfish in a 2.5 gallon tank with air pump and filtered water, but my fish has been acting weird like seating at the bottom of the tank and not eating etc. i have never seen it like tht before... any suggections what i should do??? i dont want her to die on me :(
