The people at the pet store said that it was one kind of fish, but when i looked for pictures there wasnt any on the internet and the ones that i did find looked way different then the fish i have. Is there any websites that can help me identify the fish??????

There are some tropical fish groups on the yahoo groups. Most of them will look at a picture and try to identify your fish. Or describe it here and some of the fish people might be able to help you out.

can you give us a general description of the fish? usually it's a very bad idea to get fish from a store without doing some research first, i've had to help alot of people who bought oscars, pacus, clown loaches, puffers etc just because they were cute. the people had good intentions but weren't prepared to handle the huge potential size or specialized care involved with keeping some fish.

K- you need to go back to the store and ask them what fish were in the tank that may have cross-breeded- it happens and if the fish does live then you can ask for an exchange or $ back! My son has fish and his webs that he looks at are fish.com or tropical.com If that helps!
