Okay, so I JUST got home from the fish place, and i completly forgot what type of fish i own. soooooo.. let me describe them, they are both gray with two darker gray strips down the front of them and they have like bigger fins underneath them, like under their rear area. And i want to know if they can live without the filter going, because it just broke. Thanks for all of your help.

they are tiger barbs i have two they will only live about a day or two without a filter for sure so buy one as soon as possible.

Really hate to take a guess at identifing your fish, but the filter really needs to run. Its the best chance your fish have for clean water and survival.

angel/betta fish easiest to keep, u can don't feed them for a week n there np at all,and they grew really fast

sounds like zebra danios .but you do need filtration a.s.a.p. to maintain the water quality of the tank so they don't die
