No, I do not have a dog with parvovirus. I simply have to do a report on dogs and that's one question I cannot find an asnwer online or in my book for. So, if a dog has parvovirus, within how many hours of clinical signs will most die?
Serious answers only please.

I need your input on a project I'm doing. Either way, what are seven generic questions (no real right or wrong) questions to ask yourself when you are trying to decided on which individual dog to get? Not breed. Serious answers only.

I have a new golden retriever baby. We treat our pets like our children, would it be appropiate to wrap a gift for my canine baby? Have you ever bought a gift for your canine baby?

My jack russell came to me from a relitive and he never had the attention he should have. He was always kept in a kennel, I want to have him out of his kennel more often then he is, but he is too hyper. When we open the door up he runs out doors and I'm afraid he is going to get hit by a car. What can I do?

I hear like all the bad things about dobermans, that they are over-agressive and stuff like that. I think they would be a sweet dog to own, so i want to understand if they are like really agressive or not.

my neighbor has a pit bull named rocko. Rocko is about 5 and he's the sweetest thing, never showed any signs of aggression. but when they got him, the other neighbors' freaked out and made them chain him up and have all these restrictions because they were afraid. why are people afraid of pit bulls even if the dog is nice?

i have 2 eight week old puppies i have had them for a week i also have 2 adult dogs who are vaccinated against parvo
i feed the puppies twice a day this morning the black puppy got distracted and never ate her breakfast at 3:30 pm she vomited(similar to my older dogs when their stomach has been empty for two long) I fed them after i cleaned the mess i gave the black one her full days food twice as much as one regular meal and then i had to run out i was gone for an hour the black puppy had soft stool and urine in her kennel and of course had gotten it all over. I took them outside and cleaned up then gave her a bath. She wanted to play and until the bath was trying to run around with her sister not lethargic. Now she is curled up in her crate with a blanket drying off. There was no blood or anything and during the bath she was trying to drink the water so i am wondering if it could be parvo or if her stomach got upset because she didn't eat this morning and then ate way too much.

What's the best way to help your six-year-old cope with the possibility of having to put your 17-year-old dog to sleep soon?
Can you say attached? She is.

My Yorkshire terrier (he's about 9 months old) has the biggest and cutest underbite. He eats just fine, like a hog really. Does anyone know if this would pose a health problem? I have to admit that it's really cute when he looks up at you with his bottom teeth sticking out!

We took our new puppy in for his shots, and my 4 year old came with me (He's "her" puppy, so I thought it would be a good learning experience for her to come along and see that dogs need to see doctors, too). While I was there, another customer- NOT veterinary staff- told me that the vet's clinic was "no place for children" and I was irresponsible for bringing her where other dogs were because not all dogs like children. At first, I was offended, but now that I've thought about it more, I'm starting to see where they were coming from. Although my daughter was not trying to pet or play with other animals at the clinic, I do see where her presence could have been troublesome to other animals. I was wondering about opinions from some of you other dog owners. I really would like for her to continue to come to the vet appointments with me because I think it's good for her to learn these things firsthand, but at the same time, I don't want to be THAT lady that is rude and inconsiderate..

I am yet to trim/cut my 8 month old shih tzu's hair. Everytime I walk her people ask me why I keep her hair so long. I brush her daily and she does not have any matting at all. Is it ok to keep her hair long? Tell me what you think.
