She needs to see a vet to see if she IS pregnant or if she is having a pseudo-pregnancy. She could be in trouble as shih-tzus frequently have whelping problems. You SHOULD have had her checked out a long time ago and ultrasounded or x-rayed so you knew what to expect. Prenatal checkups for pregnant dogs are essential and a responsible breeder knows this.

Is that 65 days from her first mating ?
Was she only mated once ?
If she was mated several time over a period of a week she may have fallen pregnant from one of the later matings.
You really should have had her at the vet by now for an ultrasound and then an xray to see how the pups are positioned.
Dogs rip things up when they are in labour, give her a quiet comfortable place to rest (whelping box) with some news paper and a fresh drink of cool water. If she is in labour she will start ripping the news paper to shreads.
All this is done when a vet has confimed that she is infact pregnant and in her early stage of labour.
Goodluck !!!!!

Get to the vet. Shih Tzu often have problems whelping and your ***** sounds like she may already be having difficulties. She's overdue, sounds like she's in labor, and has not had a puppy. If you don't get her checked out, you could not only lose your litter but your dog as well! FYI If she needs a c-section, it can easily be $2000 so be ready to get the cash together.
She could also actually be having a false pregnancy and the heavy panting could be due to that or to pyometra, a life-threatening uterine infection (dogs often pant if the unfection starts getting bad and making them ill). You really need a vet to tell which it is. None of us can see your dog to tell what is really going on and if she's okay or not.

Pregnancy in dogs lasts 63 days. So you should see some significant changes in her by now. Dogs can also experience false pregnancies. They show all signs of being pregnant but in reality they are not. I would probably take her to you vet to get an x-ray to confirm/ rule out pregnancy.

regrettably, there is not any sparkling seen thanks to inform in the adventure that your dogs is pregnant, except you're very experienced...especially early on contained in the being pregnant. hence, this is fantastic to take your dogs to a vet if there is any question. the in basic terms seen signs and indicators are weight earnings, enlarged nipples and altered temperment, yet even that could no longer help to a lot as on occasion they educate signs and indicators and are not pregnant and vice versa. wish I helped. :)
