I love my little shitzu very, very much. And people in my bfs family are saying that I should get her fixed, cause her additude might change and she might turn mean. But I feel that she might want puppies later on in life. Who am I to decide if she'll have puppies or not. Dogs have feelings too...

My pit bull is in heat, and she sleeps alot during this (wearing her little blue diaper!), she just woke up to scam pretzels off my five year old, then dozed again... She sleeps at the foot of me and hubby's bed... where does your dog sleep?

The seller basically gives you a dose for large cats or dogs and then tells you how much you actually need for a dose for your smaller dog or cat. They sell you the dose for the larger breed, a syringe and a glass vial for the remaining product. They give instructions on how much to use for each dose. Has anyone used these before? Are they reliable/safe?

I need to put a paw print of each of my dogs on a piece of material...bedsheet type fabric. What can I use that will make the print look nice and will not be harmful to the dogs paw or harmful if they happen to lick a bit up?

Also, whatever you recommend I use, what would be the best way to clean their paw after use? Soap/water, baby wipe, etc...?

I have a 3 year old dog that is half great dane and half bullmastif. She is a short haired dog so I expected her not to shed a lot. But, especially in the last week or two I've noticed her shedding so much!!! She is s housedog by the way too. It is driving me crazy. Is there something that causes this, or something I can do??? I'm new to the whole house dog thing. Any help would be great!! Thanks

I have a new neighbor and she has a dog. Well the dog barks as soon as she walks out the door and doesn't stop barking and scratching the door until she comes back. I have talk to my landlord about this but I know he is having a affair with her so him doing something about it just won't work. Anyway I got into a aguement with her over the dog and she is just acting like she doesn't care. I need to know what I can do as a tenant to make her do something about it. I am trying to breed my femal blue heeler. I brought the male to her yard. He has been here since last night and it is the next day in the afternoon and I still havent noticed anything happening.So far i waited 10 days while she was bleeding and she stopped yesterday. She stands in front of him like she wants to but when male trys to approach she growls and snaps. Is this normal?I am just wondering how long it may take for breeding to start and how long I should keep male?

I woke up this morning and my dogs eye had a lot of discharge coming out of it. It was all goopy around his eye, and it's still coming out. Not a lot, but little bits at a time. His eye looks a little red as well, could he have pink eye? Anyone know any treatments?

We just found out our dog has it while getting his annual heartworm blood test. He was not symptomatic. I've been researching it online, so I understand the pathophysiology aspect. But I'm wondering what types of personal experiences you've had with a dog who has had it? How long did they live after diagnosis? What was their quality of life? What kind of treatments did you use and what worked best? That sort of thing.

Right now, he's the picture of good health. He loves to run with my husband and is full of energy. Based on our vet's recommendations we are just giving him the best possible dog food along with nutrition supplements and antioxidants to keep his immunity up. He recommends this conservative approach until when (and if) the dog ever start showing symptoms.

Your thoughts and experiences would be greatly appreciated.

I just got a puppy and the woman that I got her from told me she's nine weeks old and a girl. But her genitals seem a bit "puffy". Although she doesn't have testicals, do they drop at this point? Or am I going to eventually find out later on that Lucy, is a Lou?

Im not trying to cause any problems nothing like that just curious if anyone has any of Peteys brothers/sisters (if you live in Wisconsin thats even more interesting- maybe they can meet again sometime). I found him online from a breeder in Stigler, Oklahoma a guy named Sam. He was really accomodating and really nice. Like I said just want to see if anyone has any bros/sisters from Peteys litter- see if theres similarities, how they are doing, etc. If you got your puppy from Sam in Oklahoma Id like to know about him/her!

I rescuecd my dog. Someone threw her and another out of a car and I brought her home. We think she was abbused and she was doing good for a few months. Then she started randomly peeing on beds. Any ideas or where i can find help for this situation?? Help is much needed!!
