Try getting the dog to swallow a teaspoon to a tablespoon of hydrogen peroxide (depends on size?); get it outdoors ASAP afterwards because it works quickly.
While mac nuts do contain an unknown toxin (to dogs) depending on the size of your pet it is possible/probable that just one nut won't hurt it...

Another "The vet's closed!"
Ask your regular vet (when they're open) for info on the emergency vet in your area. My vet had fliers.
Post the information on your fridge door or some other place it won't get lost.
Learn the location & fastest route there.
When your dog has been poisoned or injured is NOT the time to be doing all this.
Unless your dog is choking I wouldn't think one Macadamia nut will hurt him, but ask a vet anyway.

We use washing soda if there's no apomorphine to hand! You can only do this within the first half an hour of the dog ingesting the nut, otherwise it's unlikely to come up. I would not necessarily presume a macadamia nut would cause a problem - the vets should have an emergency line to call if you need advice; ring this if possible.

Also hydrogen peroxide and water, I have used both mustard/water and HP/water b4 when my dogs got into something. Your veterinarian may tell you to make the dog vomit with an emetic, if the dog ingested the poison within a 1/2 hour. Emetics are: Syrup of Ipecac; 2T. 1/2 milk & 1/2 peroxide; salt in warm water; mustard in cold water. He may also advise use of charcoal to dilute *National animal poison control Central (Univ./Illinois Vet. Medical School)

Mustard and water (a very small amount) should make your dog vomit in minutes but make sure it doesnt go in the eyes!
