Every time I go outside of my house to go to work, my neighbor's dog starts foaming at the mouth and starts going crazy barking... you know all of the crazy stuff viscious dogs like to do... anyway I think he wants to eat me... what should I do? When I tried to speak to the neighbor he told me "he's on a leash and to mind my own ******* business"

I'm stuck between two options (1) Go and break the neighbor's legs... or (2) Move.... what can I do?

Check local ordinances, talk to your local animal control officer. He may be harboring a vicious animal and as such, should be required to have a fence. It may even be illegal for him to stay outdoors on a tether. The neighbor should have you over and introduce you to his pet, regularly. See, the dog sees you, does not know you and it feels like you a shady character lurking just beyond its territory. It will bite you if it feels threatened or that his "pack" is threatened. If he is merely kept on a chain, this is an attack waiting to happen. He will get loose one day. When he does, you want to be his friend. Most Rotties are very sweet tempered with friends and family. But, their instinct tells them to guard the home. You need to be shown to be a friend. Try talking to the neighbor nicely. He may be a jerk or he may just be overly sensitive about people being afraid of his dog. (It always hurt my feelings too.) He may think of his dog as his "wittle snooky wookums". Most of us dog people think that way. If he won't see reason, and the law can't help you still have a couple options:
1. Build your own fence. Make sure it is tall and sturdy. (Our neighbors once had very friendly Rotties. When they became bored, they pushed their fence down and ran over to my yard to play. They moved some time ago. I miss them.)
2. Move away.
3. Start feeding the dog in secret. (Be careful. You could end up hurt.) I have had to do this with my neighbors' dogs before. It isn't exactly legal, but it is far more ethical than chaining and angry dog and letting it menace your neighbors. I tossed yummy treats every time I went outside. I made sure to use the universally understood words, "Whosagooddogthen? Whowantsacookie?" I was able to getting the mean/lonely dog to stop barking at me, and then let me sit and talk to it, then pet it and finally sit for a treat. This will not work for every dog. But it will work with some.

As long as the dog is on his own property and is leashed or fenced or otherwise confined, there's not much you can do other than file a nuisance barking complaint.
The dog may or may not be vicious. Some breeds are very good watch dogs & very vocal at the sight of strangers. A good one will settle down and accept his owners visitors with just a word or two.
But it can be hard to tell the difference if you don't know the dog, and if you don't know which type you're dealing with, best to stay away and avoid any confrontation.
This means not making eye contact with the dog, and going about your tasks as calmly and unsuspiciously as you can. Yelling at or staring at the dog, or confronting his owner, will elevate his behavior.
Try to have a friendly chat with the owner about his dog. If necessary, ask other neighbors if he's ever gone after any of them. If others also have a problem with the dog, perhaps you can approach the owner together, possibly with the assistance of a law enforcement or animal control officer.

comparable intercourse aggression!!!! And, despite if it have been 2 Chihuahuas it could maximum probable be the issue. factor is the Rott blend is a lot greater and would, and maximum probable will harm your Chihuahua. it is not any longer sensible to have comparable intercourse canine because of the fact they continually combat for supremacy. they try over who could be the main dominant, and often, contained while it comes to women, they have a tendency to combat to the loss of life, in assessment to adult males the place one will at last concede, women have been nicely-known to kill one yet another, so it extremely is clever to no longer have 2, except they grew up at the same time, than you're very nicely. for that reason the combat isn't equivalent and your Chihuahua will lose. shop them separated. because of the fact the Rott blend is an exterior canine, i anticipate kenneled, no longer chained, it won't be too lots of a issue so you might maintain them aside. that's the only and the suitable way. it is not any longer that the Rottweiler is a recommend canine, it is purely which you extremely don't have 2 women, and the size distinction on my own is a huge issue too. If she isn't already spayed, spay the Rott. It won't unavoidably help with the present issue, even though it would help for interior the destiny. it could calm her down some, and get rid of the territorial factor from her, with a bit of luck. suitable of success which contain your canine. Sorry to be this manner of downer, yet as I stated until now having 2 women is extremely no longer a area for the susceptible willed, particularly if one is a Rottweiler, or Rott blend. I very own 3 lady Rottweilers, one is the alpha over the different 2, yet all understand me as ALPHA, and hear. I dish out the discipline interior the domicile, no one else. I additionally supply up them while i think of they are getting slightly too tough, and in no way leave better than 2 loose at as quickly as. And, additionally continually shop an in depth eye on the older 2 with the doggy, so, mine understand who to hearken to, ME.

Try option 3. I have a dog that sounds like he wants to eat my neighbours, but really, he only barks at the ones who are frightened of him. Now, I'm not suggesting you go and befriend the dog right away. But, when you leave your house, leave it like you are king of the world. Don't get startled by the neighbour's dog, or rush to your car, or act in any way like you think you're about to get eaten alive. Send out "king of the world" vibes. When the dog senses that you are the one in control, he'll calm down. Of course, there's always the possibility that your neighbour is training the dog to eat people alive - but still, there's no reason why it should be you!

Move, or call animal control and tell them you think the dog is a danger.

Dogs bark, and it doesn't sound like the dog is doing anything other than barking at you and he's trying to be protective of his turf.

Walk normally and go to work. If the dog is on a leash then what can the dog really do?

Sounds like you might be a little bit afraid of the dog, and dogs can sense it. I would just ignore the dog, don't even look at it.

Give the dog a nice juicy steak. He'll love you from then on.
