They have taken him to the vet but the vet doesn't know wat is wrong, and they've tested for kidney disease but it came back negative. He seems to be fine when I have seen him but just last night he has gotten even worse, he is vomiting a whitish mucous, he has diarreia, when he pees it smells bad, and he's now almost stumbling when walking and doesn't like to move very much, almost lathargic. Please help me to understand this, this is something that really confuses me with people.
Why do people get dogs that are long haired and then they shave them?
Why don't they just get a short haired dog in the first place?
Please shed some light on this for me because I really don't understand.

I do understand that some breeds are shaved and trimmed for showing which is fine.

Last night I noticed a couple spots on my Great Danes belly, they look like skin tags, is that what they are? Her next vet check is not till Feb. should I go ahead and make a new appointment. She is 4 years old and I have never seen them on her before, they are not ticks or fleas Im sure of that. Any advise will be great. Thanks

Have a Happy Thanksgiving!! Don't forget to sneak the dog a bit. They really do love it. However, not too much. Did you ever notice how gassy they get afterwards? A warning for those who didnt know. Remember Thanksgiving food doesnt have any calories so ENJOY!!

A week ago I asked about garlic for dogs to help with fleas. Thank you all for your responses on that question.

I got to thinking about when I was younger and remembered about skin-so-soft. I remember it being effective against many different kinds of bugs and was wondering if anyone has ever tried it on dogs for fleas?

Skin-so-soft is cheaper then buying frontline or any of the topical flea treatments and with money being tight, skin-so-soft is soemthing we can fit into our budget at this time.

Why don't the chains like Petsmart and Petco sell the high quality foods like Innova? Wouldn't it make more sense for these foods to be widely available rather than having to hunt them down in feed stores and buy them online? One would think people would be more likely to feed good high quality food if it was readily available in an easy to find location.. I know that for a long time I fed my dogs relatively crappy food just because I didn't know where to FIND better stuff. For me, buying online has never been an option.

A few more things I forgot to add before....
What provokes him is when anyone but I tells him what to do and then he will bite.

Shylo is a un-neutered 8 year old 7lb Maltese poodle.
I adopted him when he was 2 years of age.
The biting first started with my father, then Uncle, and male acquaintance.Today he bit my Dad right through his had.

Is it true that after 1, it is not going to affect your dogs aggression if you get him fixed. But if done before age 1,he will be less aggressive?

Everyone he has bitten is forgiving.
But I need to help this Over Dominant dog of mine see the light.
I am very loyal to my loved ones and never give up on the ones i love...I will try anything
Except Killing him. That would be Savage.
I am very luck that I live in a State that has a 3 bite law....but if the bites where reported that he would be out of Chances .HELP

Note:I would never breed him.I believe there are way too many homeless pets already.

I have an 11 week old Rottie puppy. She constantly goes to the bathroom in her cage, even though I let her out all the time throughout the night. She doesn't go to the bathroom otherwise, and I know dogs don't usually go to the bathroom where they sleep. Is there anything I can do to prevent her from doing this?
She doesn't get any food after 6pm, she gets put to bed when I go to bed, at about 1am, and gets let outside lots before then.

she started this today. She is just laying around, breathing slightly heavier than normal. She won't drink her water, she just sits and stares at it. She has white foamy saliva coming from her mouth at times. She's just not herself. She won't play around or anything. Her stools are very loose as well. Does anyone have any ideas as to what could be wrong with her? We are only fostering her from a rescue shelter and could use any suggestions anyone has.
