I need some help please, my grandma's dog is a kind of small dog, American Eskimo, and he's suddenly gotten sick. They have taken him to the vet but the vet doesn't know wat is wrong, and they've tested for kidney disease but it came back negative. He seems to be fine when I have seen him but just last night he has gotten even worse, he is vomiting a whitish mucous, he has diarreia, when he pees it smells bad, and he's now almost stumbling when walking and doesn't like to move very much, almost lathargic. I have know idea wat's wrong plz help!

Thank you all that have answered, we took him to a new vet and they did and ultra sound. He had problems with his gulbladder, the bileduct was blocked by what could have been several different things, there was an operation that could have been done but it would have cost $6,000 and there was only a 10% probablity of it working, and with his old age there was a good chance he wouldn't have made it through. And so my grandma made the choice of putting him to sleep, because she didn't want him to suffer any longer.

I would ask the vet to run more tests or take the dog to another vet for a 2nd opinion if the first vet is unwilling to do anymore for you. There are too many things to list that could be wrong. Get it back to a vet ASAP!

Again see if the vet will do more test or take to a different vet.
There is something definately wrong can be many things. I would suggest a full blood pannel and maybe x-rays.

Take note on the previous vet diagnosis and medication for use as a reference for following vet. It may help to find the answers. You have no choice but see the "VET" again.....!

I once had a Dobie that got sick and took her to three vets before I found one who diagnosed antifreeze poisoning. She had a swollen abdomen, swollen legs (edema) and was lethargic. A dog as small as yours would only need a teaspoon full to kill it! Find another vet immediately!

You need to take him to different vet immediately. Sometimes vets do not know everything, but there is definately something wrong with him.

I would take him to another vet. Sounds like several possibilities including parvo which kills quickly.
