They are perfect for hyper little boys to play with. I have two and they are extremely smart. loyal, obdient ( if trained early) They are alittle slow to house train but the two we have won't go in the house for any reason the eight years we have had them never cleaned up an accident after they were house broke. They do require alot of attention and toys to keep them busy but are the only breed of dog I would own

A Jack Rusel Terrier
hyper-need a LOT of excercise.
need to be socialized and trained not to jump
they do shed and I've found curry brush is best for brushing. To keep sehdding to minimum a good 1/2 hour brush a day is good. Start young and train to stand still.
I would definately suggest dog obedience classes. They are also great agility dogs.
I wouldn't suggest for young children due to the hyperness and jumping problems. Not meaning to they can hurt or scare a young child.

Extremely intelligent (which means you need to be smarter - not easy), extremely energetic, quite often aggressive to other dogs and small animals, very friendly to people.

Enroll in a training class a.s.a.p. When that class is over, join another. And another. These dogs need to be kept busy with appropriate behaviors or they will find their own ways to keep busy (digging, chewing, barking).

They are very smart but are naughty if not trained right. I would take them to obedience training and make you are patient. They love activities and have ALOT of energy but all in all are really great dogs.
