Hi. I'm a complete newbie here.

The tremors sarted and stopped yesterday, started and stopped again today. Also today one of her front legs seized up - not sure if it's related to the tremors or not. She seems OK in herself, eating, drinking, wagging her tail, but even more tired than usual, and sleeping in unusual places (probably because of her front leg.)

We are going to the vet, but any any interim advice would be much appreciated.

Thank you.

My two dogs are missing. They either got out last night when family member came home or early this morning when family member left. The gate is automated and was open long enough for the car to go through.... so I guess whoever let them out didn't see them go out.

Been driving for couple of hours looking but they aren't in this area. I live in a desert so I'm sure they're thirsty and there's also lots of coyotes around.

They are about 1 year old each and weight around 30-50 pounds.

So anyone have any tips or advice to find them?

Will they come home on their own???? I left the gate open just in case they come back.

They've been missing at least 7 hours. : (((((((((((

okay let me just say first. i am NOT planning on forcing some puppy to have puppies inself at the youngest age possible!

i just wondered whats the youngest age they can produce them.
so like if you had a male and a female puppy what age they could breed, so i know when to seperate them before their castrated/ speyed when their old enough.

We will be renting out our house in California and will be moving to Texas. We will be staying with relatives for about a year until we get established . They have dogs of their own and a considerable smaller yard, we currently have an acre for them to run on. I have 5 dogs. The two biggest ones, male and female, brother and sister from the same litter, who are Lab mixes are the ones who we have to find homes for. They are only two years old and probably the best family dogs that anyone can have. It's killing me to have to let them go but we don't really have a choice.
What do you think is the best way to find a replacement family for them.

1. Grapes
Many people give this fruit to their dogs as a treat. However, just a few bites can cause fatal kidney failure in some dogs.

Both grapes and raisins can be toxic. Some dogs eat them with seemingly no ill effects. However, some dogs become ill after ingesting only a few grapes or raisins. The first symptom is vomiting, followed by acute kidney failure, from which many dogs do not recover. As of yet, the toxin is unknown, nor do we know why some dogs become sick and others eat grapes or raisins without a problem.

2. Bread dough
The yeast-containing bread dough can ferment in the dog's stomach, releasing large quantities of alcohol. Dogs may become very ill from alcohol poisoning. Small dogs are most susceptible to this toxicity.

When I picked my dog up from the groomer she seemed fine, but ever since, she yelps/whines when she pushes up out of a lying down position. It is her front left leg, and I think the pain is in her shoulder, but not certain. The vet checked her out and said he didn't think it was a break since she was walking on it fine, but 3 days later she is still in pain and I am wondering if there is anything else I can do for her here at home? Any vets/specialists out there willing to help? Will baby aspirin really help or will it just mask a problem that could be getting worse?

I was interested in adopting this dog ,they said it was a purebred pomeranian, but I have never seen a pomeranian that was this coloring ,to me he looked more like a papillion. Whatever breed he is it doesnt matter to me ,I was just curious. Here is the link: http://search.petfinder.com/petnote/displaypet.cgi?petid=9563500

Ok, I usually just ask goofy/fun questions but for once I have a real question.

My wife is 20 weeks pregnant. We have 2 small dogs at home. They are pretty well behaved but can be pretty playful.

Are there things that we can do before the baby is born to help get them used to having a baby around? Any thoughts or suggestions??

I have a 7 month old maltese that is so picky about food! He will eat one thing pretty consistently for about a week and then refuse to touch it. He is a great dog and is so easy going with everything but food. He won't go near his dog food (dry or wet) and so I tried just plainly cooked chicken. For about a week he was enjoying chicken and rice (but wouldn't eat the broccoli) and now he won't touch that either.

I'm willing to mix up his food but I want to make sure he gets all the nutrients he needs without making things too complicated. Does anyone have any suggestions for guidelines I should follow while trying to figure out what to feed him? What things I should stay away from and what ingredients I should try to keep pretty constant?

Well, my family and i are driving across America in a Mobile Home, and recently our beloved dog jumped out of the car. Should we turn back and get him, or should we continue going without him.

Alright, I have 2 Bichon puppies. 1 is my husband and I's and the other my mom is taking when she comes to visit for Thanksgiving. They are sweet, cute and fun, but the problem is: my husband is starting to hate them because they are not trained. He says that our puppy will never be trained because she is a small dog and small dogs do what they want. I know different because I grew up with smaller dogs. So, I need help with some quick ways to get them to be more obedient and COMPLETELY potty trained REALLY soon. See, we are moving from our apartment to a new house next weekend and he is stressing that they are going to ruin the carpet, etc. So, I need to find out a pretty quick solution...at least so I can show him some progress!
Anything would be helpful!
Thanks so much! :)

I haven't had puppies in my home since I was a teenager. The dogs I've adopted as an adult have been adult dogs.

Breeders and rescuers: what are some of the reasons puppies are returned to you?

What kind of home would you consider ideal for a puppy?

What kind of a situation would you try to discourage someone from adopting a puppy? Why?

What kind of home is not quite ideal for a puppy, but could be workable? What are your suggestions?

What should people who are interested in a puppy think about before taking the plunge?

I'm not thinking about getting a puppy, I just thought this might be a good question for people who are thinking about a puppy to refer to.

Thanks!

I have a young Eskie, and I am having him professionally groomed this afternoon. I like the look of the show dog, fluffy in front short in back. Does anyone know of a good website, or certain style of cut to give an Eskie? I want it clean looking and low maintenance, right now its rather long for his playful lifestyle.
