First of all like everyone said you need to report it to the police or call animal control. They need to be informed that this dog attacked and killed smaller dogs. They should investigate the incident or at least have it documented as it could be a matter of time before that dog attacks a small child. I understand his rage and I would want to kill that dog too but he will get charged with animal cruelty and will be fined with a possible prison sentence. Unfortunately the courts still see pets as property so if he wanted to sue the neighbor he could but he would most likely only receive an amount in the value of the pups and possibly some to build a bigger fence. Please talk him out of it.

I don't blame your uncle for being mad, and certainly your neighbor deserves a punch in the nose AND a boot up the backside.
But there is another way: Your neighbor is in possession of a dangerous dog, which he is not controlling. So get the police involved, and yes, you are well within your rights to sue him. If the judge has two brain cells to rub together, chances are pretty good he'll order that dog put down.
Good luck, and I'm sorry to hear about the puppies and kitten.

WOW! that's a hard one. I would want to kill it as well. Maybe the best revenge is to call the animal control officer in your town and tell them what happened and let them deal with the dog. After all the dog viciously attacked three little ones on your property. If your uncle takes revenge it might cause him a lot of trouble. Call animal control, that would be my advice.

Well I would call animal control and let them handle it. And yes you do need to tell someone like your parent so they can talk to your uncle and calm him down. I would hate for your uncle to go to jail for killing someones dog. We as tax paying people have the right to have the police or animal control stop other peoples animals from killing our stuff. Since our tax money is how they are paid. Your uncle had the right to kill the dog at the time it attacked his animals but forfited that right when he didn't kill it while it was attacking. See according to the Law we have the right to protect ourselves and what is ours! However since he didn't kill the dog at the time of the attack, the law will see it as revenge and take him to jail. SO the best thing for you to do is to tell your parents whats going on.

The dog was supposed to be tied up or on a leash, it's illegal to to let a dog run free, that dog killed those poor innocent animals and the owner needs to be responsible for his neglect of his dog, so you definitely need to report him to the police and let them know what happened, if your uncle gets caught killing an animal he will go to jail! Do the right thing and let the law take care of the situation. He will be in trouble for letting his dog go on someone elses property and kill those animals.

The first instinct is revenge....BUT you have to live by this neighbor NOT your uncle. This is a horrible tragedy and I feel for your Uncle.
He could always take the neighbor to small claims court. The neighbor is at fault b/c the dog came onto your property. I had neighbors who had a pit bull and it attacked my rottweiler through our fenced in yard. I took them to court...First step was to get animal control involved so they could quarantine the dog and make a report. Then I followed up w/ a police report and pressed charges. It was taken to court. The judge found my neighbors guilty for dog attack and they had to pay my vet bills and they lost their dog.

Call animal Control
Not sure about your State but here if a animal kills another animal they will put the animal down and it will be up to your neighbor to pay for your Uncles pets.Don't let him take it in his own hands he will just end up in trouble and it want bring his babies back

If your uncle calls the police and animal control, they will take his neighbor's dog and kill it anyway...so the same result, except one that doesn't involve your uncle going to jail.
Too bad they can't put the neighbor to sleep too.

because all the smells intertwine when they cook and smell good. it's not hard to make food smell good. it's harder to make food taste good. my neighbors are full chinese i believe doubt they came from America but their house is a total pig sty. theirs crap they bring home from work all over their front yard and back yard and it's all broken things like tables, fridge, washing machines,etc.. but from time to time when they are cooking it smells really good. but i highly doubt it tastes that good. why? just walk infront of their door step and you will understand why theirs craps everywhere including dead plants/animals decaying like fish. Im sure they don't shop at a real grocery store either but the local china town and everyone in my state knows the china town isn;t very good for groceries as it's been known to carry rats and it isn't even that tasty. that being said don't let the smells fool you.

You must stop him! Maybe your neighbour is bad, but the dog is not to blame! It's just instinct. You must warn everyone, including the neighbour. remember that if he calls the police for that you can sue him for killing your pets, so he won't, he will just control his dog more.
