feed plain boiled chicken and white rice.
then you need to figure out the cause of the diarrhea, esp. if it doesn't clear up by this evening - in which case, vet tomorrow please.

I ALSO TAKE NO LIABILITY FOR ANYONE'S DOG HAVING AN ADVERSE REACTION... but this is what's worked with my dogs:
A SMALL Amount in a syringe of CHILDREN'S Immodium A-D. By small amount for a full grown poodle about 1/4 teaspoon every 4 hours. I breed Welsh Corgis, we had that problem in a couple of our puppies and we gave them just a tiny, tiny, amount of the Children's Immodium A-D and after about 2 doses, they were doing much better. Depending on the size of the dog is how much you give, but don't give the dog alot of it at once. A poodle will probably need about 1/4 teaspoon. To keep the dog from dehydrating, use Pedialyte (availble in the infant section or cereal aisle at Walmart) use an oral syringe and if the dog will not take it willingly, dispense the Pedialyte into the side of the dog's cheek. You can do the chicken broth and rice thing as well... that's more for vomiting dogs, where you'd withhold food for 6 hours and gently introduce chicken broth and rice in small amounts. Hope that helps. Here's some other ideas from a website on the sourcing section.

Well, this is my opinion.
Most pet owners know that most medication for animals is only for animals, and vise-versa. But this is usually because of the way they interact with an animal and the dosage level, which is smaller for smaller animals.
With that in mind, Bismuth, or as you know it (Pepto Bismol) actually works well with animals. Your vet may tell you not to use it and I TAKE NO LIABILITY IF YOU OR ANYONE TAKES THIS ADVICE.
But I have my own dog and even though we give her the same food every day, sometimes, she gets a good case of "The D".
To dogs, the color and taste of Bismuth is appealing. You can go to your local drug store and purchase this. I recommend though that if you are going to give it to a dog, get the chewable tablets. You'll have a hell of a time trying to get the dog to drink it out of a bowl.
I know Walgreens and CVS both have storerband Bismuth chewable tablets right next to the all the other Pepto and like brands.
If you go this route, this is my rule of thumb. If the dog is very house-trained and cannot hold their "D", I would give them one every hour. Also, if this is happening, the dog may be sick and I would seek medical attention as the dog may have a mild or more severe issue that is causing it. I would wait 8 hours after you start to give the dog this. if it doesn't get better, I would take it to a vet.
If the dog just has it when they go, give the dog one every two hours. That should make it subside.
Also, if the dog has "The D", make sure it drinks so it don't get dehydrated. If it doesn't want to drink, give the dog ice cubes. They think its food. Glad to help!
ONCE AGAIN, I ACCEPT NO RESPONSIBILITY FOR ANY ACTIONS RESULTING IN THIS POSTING.

This is what I do when my dog has diarrhea (These were instructions from my vet, with a few "home remedy" tweaks. The "home remedy" tweaks are the pedialyte and canned pumpkin, which were tips from the breeder I got my dog from.):
1) No food for 24 hrs, this gives the system time to straighten itself out.
-- During this time, give unflavored Pedialyte (found in the baby section at the grocery store) instead of water to keep hydrated.
2) After the 24 hours is up, introduce food slowly.
-- Mix 1 part dog food to 3 parts white rice (white rice is very easy to digest, so it's easy on an upset digestive system).
-- Each feeding, slowly decrease the amount of white rice and increase the amount of food.
-- I also put in a tablespoon of plain canned pumpkin (NOT pumpkin pie filling) with the food/rice mixtures
3) If the diarrhea is not improving within 48 hrs, it's time to see a vet.
NOTE: If your dog has other symptoms, such as throwing up or acting lethargic, see a vet sooner.

If there is no other medical cause, ie: if the poodle has been agitated by strangers in the house, etc. you can help them tighten their digestion by feeding them some cheese. Use something low-salt - try a Monterray Jack or Muenster. I have used this on animals of many species. Do not use spicy cheese. As long as they are not lactose intolerant, it works pretty good. You can also feed them something high-fiber like green beans which will help settle their digestion with something to work on. You could mix some crushed non-sugared shredded wheat into their food also - just give it some time to soften in the dog food before they eat it.

As others have stated, might've been superb to analyze in the previous getting a canines. Asking right here will certainly get you damaging press on such project. On precise of the reality you get carry of a blend from an obvious BYB as an invaluable breeder would possibly never enable any domestic dog bypass to somebody that knew no longer something of its care. The breeder ought to've given you each and everything you mandatory in a kit, least that's what we do. i might recommend you come back stated domestic dog or do your guy or woman analyze. you will prefer an appointment with your vet in any case and that they might answer you the superb. per risk you need to bypass to a Petsmart besides & ask the staff what you will prefer for stated domestic dog.
