Your pup has fleas no matter if it is one or many....some animals are flea allergic which means the bite of ONE flea can send them into an itching frenzy. Forget about the bathing and get some flea meds from the VET not over the counter please. Hartz in particular is very dangerous for small breed dogs.
You may need to treat your home for fleas as well. A good premise spray - Ectokyl comes to mind. Forget about the yard - if your dog has a good flea med on board like Advantage - fleas will be repelled while your dog is in your yard.
One last thing you mentioned is giving your dog "human" food....she could be allergic to something you are giving her from your table.
Good Luck.

She probably has got a lot of fleas. For every one you actually see, there are many more - and HUNDREDS more eggs, hatching out both on your pet and in your house. So you need to flea treat properly, because this is almost certainly the reason for her scratching - baldness on the rear end is a classic sign of flea allergy.
Please get some proper flea treatment from a vets, like Frontline. Flea baths are not proper treatment. You need something that both kills and prevents fleas, and you need to use it regularly for her hair to grow back and for her to be healthy.
Please go to your vet.

This can be easily fixed! First, get some medicated dog shampoo, the best is prescribed by the vet! Bathe her in it. Put Frontline, or whatever your vet advises you to use in regards to prescription flea, tick, and mosquito monthly remedy. Get Fish Oil Supplements (Omega 3 Fatty Acids) from the drug store. (This will not only cure her itchy skin, but it will also make her coat very shiny and soft)! Poke a whole in one end with a toothpick and pour the liquid onto something she likes to eat, like a piece of bread or inside a chicken nugget or whatever will soak it up! By the time she has had a couple of weeks of the Fish Oil, she will be fine. Good Luck and enjoy your soft and shiny dog!!

Do you mean a pomeranian? Take this dog to the vet and get her a good flea treatment like Revolution or Advantage. Treat all her bedding and carpets in the house for fleas. Get her some flea shampoo and follow instructions for bathing. Your backyard may also need to be treated. Flea infestation can lead to severe health problems.

If she is allergic to fleas, then it doesn't matter if she only has ONE. The thing here is to get rid of all the fleas or she will continue to go nuts and eat/scratch herself up.
Now that you know she has fleas, get her tested for tapeworms too. They usually have both once they get a flea infestation. The worms can also cause a skin problem....
poor pomeranian
what if you had some lice, but not a lot, would that be okay?
wouldn't you do everything you could to get rid of the little blood suckers in your hair??? Your dog is relying on you to get rid of her little blood suckers....

Oh my, she's lost a lot of hair on her bottom. The yard needs to be treated for fleas so she stops getting re-infested. Take her to the vet, make sure the problem is fleas, then get a treatment from the vet and treat her yard. Bath with a soothing shampoo and she should be much better in a week.
Good luck.

A pomeranian?
Sounds like flea dermatitis. This can be a chronic condition, with or without fleas. Take her to the vet, they'll give her something for the itch and inflammation.

if she has had fleas you need to do your house and all her bedding as fleas live and breed in your carpets and furniture, they only go on your animal for something to eat
