I have a young Eskie, and I am having him professionally groomed this afternoon. I like the look of the show dog, fluffy in front short in back. Does anyone know of a good website, or certain style of cut to give an Eskie? I want it clean looking and low maintenance, right now its rather long for his playful lifestyle.

To all of you majorly rude people, I know he just gets cleaned up, and not a full cut. If you knew anything about the breed you'd understand me. Also those who are familiar with the breed know they are called 'eskis' by owners, its not a pet name. The level of ignorance in this forum is disgusting.

The correct "haircut" for an Eskie is a thorough brush and bath, with the feet trimmed and a little tidying on the feathers/pants/tail. They would not normally have a lot of trimming.
If you want something easier to maintain, you can ask the groomer to shorten up the feathers, skirt and pants. Just explain to the groomer exactly what you want, if it is possible they will do it.

Eskies are not a breed that gets a "haircut". They require daily grooming to maintain their coats and prevent tangles. They will have their feet trimmed up with a grooming, but generally, it's the brushing that is the most important.
Since this breed needs a daily brushing to prevent tangles, I'm not thinking it's all too much worth your time to take the dog to a groomer for something you can maintain at home. If you don't brush the dog much at home, even a monthly groomer visit could wind up with a dog that requires shaving from severe matting that can't be brushed out.

Hi, I understand that you are looking for some advice or resources to help fully train your dog or fix behavior problems. If a professional dog trainer is not an option at this time, or if you want to trt training your dog on your own (a great way to bond), I'd suggest you https://biturl.im/aU8dy
A friend recommened it to me a few years ago, and I was amazed how quickly it worked, which is why I recommend it to others. The dog training academy also has as an excellent home training course.

My parents have a american eskimo, we usually just trim his fur around his ears, feet and butt area. Just ask for a trim in the areas he/she needs it. You can tell because there will be odd ends of hair sticking out. Ask them to bathe the dog and to blow dry his/her hair and it will look like the show dog.
To all you people who think you can't cut an american eskimoes dog hair, you can! It grows back the exact same!

Show people do a very small amount of trimming on feet and hocks to neaten things up. Otherwise.. there is NO HAIRCUT on an Eskie.
If you cut the topcoat you will destroy the dog's natural weather and dirt resistance ... and it will mat easier.

They just might trim the ends...
But they don't really get cut and style (like a schnauzer or something)
Easy care, just wash, dry , and brush out

Rather than using cute nick-names for your dog - I would do some research on his breed.
Unlike poodles or other dogs whose coats require clipping or manipulation (pullis, for example have a corded coat - think of it as dreadlocks for dogs) American Eskimos do not require special clipping. What you see in the show ring is pretty much what Nature provides.
His coat is naturally low-maintenance except that American Eskimos do require daily (or more often) brushing - especially if kept indoors - to keep their coats in good condition. They are working cold-climate dogs, after all - and have a definite undercoat for outdoor activities and tend to shed - especially at the change of seasons.
Again, I cannot stress thorough brushing - daily - or more often if you can. There's no shortcut or substitute.
