I have two cats that I've had for a long time. Before I got my puppy (9 week old husky) I made sure they were ok around other animals and found they would be fine if the puppy was brought into a "family" with existing animals(cats). My puppy goes crazy for the cats. I think he is just trying to play with them but he bounces off the walls. He will get in their face and bark, they hiss and sometimes hit him but he still wants to get in their face. This makes him very energetic and CRAZY it is hard to calm him down and he won't listen when I try to get him to stop. Like I said he's not hurting them but he barks non stop and it becomes annoying. How can I get him to leave the cats alone or at least stop when I tell him to. Is this possible?

As most everyone knows by now, St.Lady was banished likely due to someone's personal vendetta.

darlyngirl1982 has an awesome post if you haven't seen it. http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AtrW12bL.U14UdD6zIAk9.Tsy6IX?qid=20070907054541AA7tOg3&show=7#profile-info-ORDP5wMRaa

She inspired me to go one step further and post where the Yahoo people would actually see our opinions. I posted a message on the forums. Everyone who supports St.Lady, please give this post a thumbs up so it will be more likely that the Yahoo people will read it. http://suggestions.yahoo.com/detail/?prop=answers&fid=44883

I have a couple of interested people who would like to breed with my sweet little girl yorkie. I need to know what they expect to get out of this also the money involved with breeding. We only want to breed her just this once so we can have another little girl, I beleive the studs parents would get one of her puppies and if she has more then I would sell them for a resonable price. Thank you so much for your help!

I have two 4 year old yorkies (Bijou and BonJovi) :] They both have watery eyes constantly, and are prone to try and paw at them, or rub their faces on random things (their bedding, chair/table legs, peoples pant legs, etc) to try and stop them from itching, but of course, this just makes the problem worse. The vet gave us some sort of ointment to put in their eyes, but it's clearly labeled as an antibiotic, and I don't think it's an infection, because even after we used the ointment for its prescribed course, the watery-ness still comes back. I'm thinking they might have allergies? They have the hair trimmed away from their eyes and faces, we bathe them once a week and we wash their bedding/pillows constantly, and they are still itchy! Any suggestions on how to bring them both some relief?

All you chihuahua owners that have chihuahuas. I have a few questions if you can answer for me.
1. Does your Chi Bark allot?
2. How many times a week or month do you bathe it?
3. How much do they eat?
4. I dont want the dog sleeping in my bed with me because they are too dirty for that but will they be fine if they sleep in a room every nite?
5. Are they very peaceful dogs?
6. Are they good around children if a child can take care of it for half of the day. 11 or 12 year old for my neice.
7. Anything your dog does all day or how they behave?
I have done my research on chihuahuas and I do know ALLOT about them thanks to Yahoo answers and other websites and books. I just need peoples opinions or info on how your little one behaves. (were thinking of getting one)

She's six months old. I feed her dry science diet. One full (science diet) measuring cup a day. And she still poops stacks of crap that stink's bad. I wish I never paper traned her because I'm tired of picking up hundred's of free newspaper's and I've had it with transporting her stinky turds to the toilet. Since diet is suppose to combat (excesisive)mass and odor while aiding in digestion. What can I do? If I hadnt invested so much money in imunizations.... I'd surrender her to the local pound its toooooo much stink'n poop for one little bitty dog. Help me please.

Why do seemingly sensible people go ahead and start breeding their pets? Are there not enough homeless dogs and cats out there already? If people loved their animals they wouldn't turn them into profit making baby factories.....I'm just sayin.

IF you are breeding mixed dogs, what exactly are you doing to at least ensure they are healthy? What kinds of genetic testing are you doing? How do you assist a buyer to ensure they get the perfect puppy from your litter? Do you test the hips, eyes, elbows, or any other relevant issues in the breeds in your breeding stock? Do you offer no less than a 2 yr health guarantee on your dogs or more? If not, why? How often do you breed your female? How many times in her life? What age is her first breeding? How old is too old to breed?

Do you at least TITLE your dogs in obedience, rally, agility or anything at all to prove they can actually DO SOMETHING besides be "cute"?

How well do you screen your buyers? Do you have a Paypal purchase button on your websites to buy, sight unseen? Do you ever take pups back, or are they not your problem once sold? Do you do a spay/neuter contract? What are you doing to ensure consistency in your mix breedings to promote a proper standard for them?

Why don't they answer questions about what to do with the puppies and answer questions when people have dogs that had puppies and want to know where to sell them?
Why don't thay answer questions like this?

They want to be so helpful when people are breeding without knowledge or breeding their so called designer mixes so where are they for the other problems associated with breeding?
If they do not help when problems arise with the people they have encouraged to breed, why get angry and offended over the term BYB or puppymill?
If you are not breeding responsibly by doing all necessary health screens, genetic test, vetting pups yourself and not getting them vet checked and not selling pups with a contract or taking back any and all pups created by you, how can you really consider yourself ethical and responsible? Doesn't the term BYB fit?

Levi, a 5 year old Bernese, lost 12.5 pounds in 5 months and now has high liver count. He has loose stools but otherwise, acts normal and happy. The vet wants to run more tests. Any ideas?

My puppy Drax is a beagle/basset mix. He has contact allergies from the weeds and grass around me house. They are getting worse and now is is stracthing and biting so much he is causing small sores on himself, these scabs don't hurt when I doctor them or look at them. The doctor didn't know what was wrong when we went to him but after going on vacation for a few days with no grass or weeds he was getting better, not hardly scratching but when we got home it got worse and quick.

I am looking for treatments to put on the dog or give him to help relieve the itching so he will stop causing scabs on himself. Right now they are being clean and tonight I will be doing the following:
Mowing the lawn and removing the cut grass/weeds
vacuuming the house
Washing his toys, blankets, and everything else
Giving him an oatmeal bath
Applying antiseptic to his scabs

If anyone has any suggestions or knows of any products safe for a puppy that will lick and bite at the area please let me know

Our vet has started him on diazapam and it helps. But there are sometimes when a strom will happen when we are at work and we did not know it was comming, so he gets very scared and brakes his crate and chews everything in the house. What are some ways we can train him to not be so frightened of storms?

Also when we are at work we crate him and when those storms come he just brakes out of his crate and destroys our house. Does any know of a crate the is almost indestrucable or unexcapable?

Thanks for the help.
(sorry if I spelled anything wrong.)

One more "trucking" question...I'm going on road long hauling for a few years, and we want to get a "truck dog" to join us. What is the best breed for this? I don't want to be unfair to the dog (example a high energy breed) and I know there are some out there that make excellent truck dogs. Have you heard of any? Any advice?

I get scared sometimes because my pit goes after my 5lb chi-poo out of jealousy and I figure that when/if she gets done with her, who's next? my twin girls? I am not afraid of my dog, these are things going through my head, also, is it true that in her first heat or after she turns a year old, she will get more aggressive? With small kids (4 yrs old) I can't have that. Your opinions and suggestions are appreciated.

I'm getting out of the military and finally able to get a dog. Of course I'll be working part time and going to school at the same time so it would be alone but I'm very active in life with hiking and photography. I love the idea of a Jack Russel but heard they have a lot of energy that I may not be able to provide. Any advice would be greatly accepted.
