My dog has just swallowed a baloon, but shows no signs of feeling ill ( such as breathing unproperly, etc).He is somehow more anxious than usual, but that may not be relevant.
Is there anything I should do? Are there any risks?Thank you !

I hear conflicting experiences regarding cats and Akitas. Some people say they live together fine, others say the kitties make nice meals. My friend's Akita had puppies and she saved the sweetest one for me (by her standards, that's pretty freaking sweet). Problem is, my husband and I adore our two cats almost like kids and don't want them to be eaten like prey because of "instincts". My friend is a very positive and strong-willed sweet heart and seems to have dogs that are the same, I just don't know if the breed itself is the type that snaps without warning regardless their upbringing? I had a siberian husky and cats earlier in life and they had some hilarious wrestling/dive bombing matches. there were no real fights. The mix dog I grew up with barely acknowledges cats and is also peaceful. I don't know about Akitas though. I appreciate a complicated dog.... but anyone with cats and Akitas want to weigh in?

We just got a dog, he is a puppy although i don't know how old he is, he is not gonna get very big so i can't tell if he is full grown or not. But he is starting to hump my stuffed animals. So then how old do they have to be before they start doing that? or does it just happen whenever

Are they for keeping the dog's joints warm or for keeping it afloat in the water?

Okay well I had 2 dogs. The oldest one was 14 years old and the other one is 7 years old. So they were together for 7 years. Four days ago we had to putt down my oldest dog because he had a liver problem plus he stopped eating and we had to pick him up to go down or upstairs. The younger one tends to be the one seeking the attention. He gets really attached to us and our dog that past away. He was crying yesterday and had a bad dream last night. Does that mean he is missing him?

He is an 80lb husky/shep/lab cross. He is white so it is very noticable.

Is it his food, or the way he poops or what?

I feed him the mid price range food.

His poops themselves look healthy and normal and it is like a tiny nugget not like diarreha.

My sister's dog's nose is all blocked. He is breathing through his mouth right now. He didn't eat for about 4 days, then he started eating little liverwurst yesterday. We are going to have an appt for him again (so he can get some vit shots) tomorrow (Friday). And hope to have a biopsy (and maybe surgery to take the blockage out) either tomorrow (if vet is avaliable) or hopefully this coming Monday. My question is -- what can we do right now for the dog to make him feel better? But we are really scared that he might die soon without the biospy by next week. What would a nose biopsy consists of and how much does it usually cost? What would cause a blocked nose? He had diluted bloodly mucus in one of his nose a few months before, and had medicine. Chubby is about 12 to 13 yrs old. We are just really scare right now. Chubby is refusing to eat because he cannot smell, and when my sis's bf tries to feed him the medication (antibiotics) Chubby tried to bite him. Please help!

he lives indoors as we are at the top of a flat. So he is trained to go on his puppy pad. He has a large cage to wander in and always goes on his pad when living in the cage. but when we open the doors, he goes wherever, instead of going back to the pad! How can we get him to go back to the pad?

I just bought a winer dog who is now 10 weeks old. The first night i bought puppy pads she Immediatly went pee on them and still has been ever since. However she will not poop on them if her life depended on it! I do give out treats when she does use the pad for number 1 and i do punish her if she goes on the carpet, which is 10 minutes in her kennel.

What do you suggest??

I can't get to a regular groomer because of my work schedule and they are open on the weekends. I was wondering what kind of experiences people have had. I have a small 4 lb. yorkie with a pretty easy going personality, so it should be okay right?
