Okay well I had 2 dogs. The oldest one was 14 years old and the other one is 7 years old. So they were together for 7 years. Four days ago we had to putt down my oldest dog because he had a liver problem plus he stopped eating and we had to pick him up to go down or upstairs. The younger one tends to be the one seeking the attention. He gets really attached to us and our dog that past away. He was crying yesterday and had a bad dream last night. Does that mean he is missing him?

Dogs do remember. And Im sure your dog is no different. He knows something is up, same as if you were leaving on vacation and he starts to act funny. You will probably notice him looking around trying to find his buddy. In all honesty that maybe the hardest part of the whole ordeal, watching him do this. Dogs dream just like anyone else and they have that keen sense. So, it very well could be that he was dreaming of the other dog.
So, the answer is yes, he will remember and he knows that something isn't right.
Like a human, he will heal in time.

Yes. I have seen this happen many times with my own dogs. Just like people , they will grieve for a while then will slowly get over it. You will need to give it a lot of TLC the next few weeks. yes!dogs grieve too.I lost my pom of 5 and half's years and my daughters dog comes to my house and hunts all over for him they were raised together,its been 8 months now and she still does it,runs everywhere,then just lays down even though i have two other dogs she igones them.time will heal it all or maybe get your dog a pet! bless you!

I would say yes, I feel all animals grieve for loses. I am sorry for your lose. Give him time, does he still eat, if so that is good. I have seen animals stop eating after losing a friend.

I believe so. When one of my dogs stayed at the vet overnight (she was spayed) the others looked for her. I swear it.
