dogs that are not spayed before their 1st heat cycle with have a greater chance of breast cancer, this needs to be checked if it is a cancerous tumor then it can spread to other breast and even to the lungs. take her to the vet and have her checked!!!!!!!!!!

It could be just a cyst, which would be completely fine. It's very harmless and can be, although doesn't have to be, removed by surgery(usually if the dog's already under anesthesia for a tooth cleaning or fixing). My old pup has one or two on him and he's no worse for the ware.
Be sure to get a vet appointment soon to rule out cancer. Don't wait. It could save your dog's life if you catch it soon enough. The vet will just take a biopsy to see if it's cancerous and the results will probably come back negative.

I'm not a vet, so please take your dog for a professional opinion.
But I will say that I had a similar situation with my dog and it turned out to be a hernia.
Your dog could have already had a very small hernia (which is very common apparently) and due to it's pregnancy gotten larger with her expanding belly.
Hernias generally aren't a big deal, but I'd see the vet to make sure what it is.

I would check with a vet. The bump could be cancer. Or it could be a pulled muscle. Or it could be any number of other things. Vets are much more qualified to determine whether it can be harmful or not.

Baby Kay, if you had a lump on your breast would you ask the ignorant masses on Yahoo Answers about it or would you seek a professional opinion? be responsible and take your dog to a vet to be checked out... this is not rocket science

I had a litle chihuahua that had a bump on her stomach and it grew, when i took her to the vet i was told that it was a hernia and it was nothing serious. Unfortunatly, she ended up dying from it. Get it checked!!
