Whenever my hubby tries to kiss me good bye in the a.m, my doggy runs out from under the cover and playfully nips at him. If we are trying to get romantic at night, we have to make sure Decker is out of the room, as he will jump on the bed and try to hump whatever is not under the cover. It's a bit distracting to have your dog humping on your foot as your sweetie is whispering sweet nothings! Why does he act like this?

I know males don't go into heat, but this is crazy! He wants to hump our feet, our arms when we are lying down, anything he can get to. Should I get him a stuffed animal like in the movie 'Click' that he can romance, or what?! I'd appreciate any serious advice.

She has been a farm dog all her life and the man that owns her doesn't want her anymore because he says she is too old and is of no use anymore. He wants to shoot her. :( She is about 13-14 years old and I would like to take her in and give her a warm home and make her life more comfortable for the little time she has left.

JUST SO YOU KNOW-
I DO NOT agree with shooting the dog, and from what I've heard, he doesn't want to pay for euthanasia. (the big meanie!!)

Let me give you the history. My dog was doing well until I took her to the vet for her shots and exam. She threw up in the exam room twice. I thought it was car sickness. The vet felt her belly and it felt hard so she did xrays. The xrays showed she had alot of fecal matter in her intentines that ran way up to her shoulder area. Her recommendation was to change her food to a food with no fillers. Okay, so she got her shots and we bought a premium dog food which we are gradually giving her. She ate well last night, but she is not eating at all today. Oh, and we gave her heartworm medicine for the first time as well. She is acting very lethargic. She shows no signs of swelling, but she just won't eat and won't get up out of her bed. Basically, she just wants to sleep. My vet doesn't know what's going on with her. We did a full panel of blood work and everything is normal. Could it be the food? Please, if anyone out there has any suggestions, please advise. Thanks!

It seems as though there are more young kids learning about this site and just use it for entertainment. I see silly questions and ignorant answers that are repeated just hours later. It has gotten repetitive.

Does anyone else see this or is just me?

I have two rat terriers. They are the strongest, best looking, funniest, smartest dogs alive. They once built me a LEGO castle for my birthday. Your dogs pale in comparison. If you want, our dogs can fight to settle any dispute. Thank you for your time

Before I get to the this question let me just say that i love all animals and I am fighting against animal cruelty and animal ignorance..ie: pits are bad..american bulldogs are just big pits...so on and so forth. Here is my question: American bulldogs were trained and bred to catch hogs....wild boar and feral hogs for sport and eradication and hunting. What are you feelings on this? Once again...not for blood...but for their heritage? For hunting...pork chops you know? Just so you know...i do not do this...never have...but my bloodlines have this in them. They all do. I know many God-fearing breeders who do. Is it wrong? Do you feel it brings out aggression? it is being outlawed because some people with mainly pit bulls use the hogs for baiting their dogs into fighting. I am totally agianst this. My wife and i love this breed and this is basically the only thing we disagree on. What do you guys and gals think? There is a nice candlelight dinner involved here...help me out!!! :).

I recently sent a 7 month old dog to Queensland that was fine when he left here. He was a happy dog and was fine when picked up by the transporters. He arrived in Queensland (according to the people that have him) afraid and won't come near them and if you raise a hand when you are near him he cringes and piddles himself. Unfortunately he is 1000s of kms aways from me so it is impossible for me to get to see him and I am very worried about this abnormal behaviour. I would be very happy for any ideas on what can be done for him - I am desperate

ok well for the past few months ive been hearing this screaming noise out in the woods. at first it hought it was just a puppy or osmething like a coyote puppy. and other people said it was an owl but it sounds nothing like an owl. so tonight the scream was twice as loud. it almost sounded like a human screaming. so i went outside and all my neighbors were out there with flashlights looking for it. my neighbors said they thought it might be bob cats but they flushed it out of the woods towards me and it came out just a little and it almost looked like a small dog. it looked almost like a husky but smaller. it was bigger then a coyote though. it had a curly tale too. and pointy ears . and it was pretty stocky. but the thing was it never did bark it just screamed. and im pretty sure thats what i saw was that dog looking thing but im not positive i might be mistaken. well i live in the midsouth around memphis so if anyone has any clue please help me.

I have tried Purina, Ol Roy, now Iams, which my mom sez is the only food she feeds her Shih Tzu and his is 16 years old. Is the more expensive food better for a dog vs. cheap (walmart brand)? Also does if affect an purebred in a different way than a mixed dog?
