not sure why I want anther baby but the house seems a bit empty from some reason. but i have some fears our dog butch has always been our only dog. he plays well with other dogs as long as they are his size he's a little over 75 lbs. is there anyway to know if he would be upset to have a little brother or sister? i just don't want to get anther dog and have big mess on my hands. because the new puppy would have to go if there were any problems and i'd feel bad about that. any ideas?

Okay....when my German Shepherd pup reaches 6 month which willbe fela season here. I was told by my vet to have an all in one tablet for fleas, heartworm and intestonal worms....the cost for Sentinel, Advantage Multi and Frontline are like 100-150 bucks. Do you not think it would be a lot cheaper to purchase them online from the company?

My female rott is 10 months old, and she weighs 62 pounds, and is 21.5 inches tall. Is this normal? Will she get any taller? Or will she be this short? Is she going to keep growing? Is 62 pounds normal for a 10 month old rott?

We have a 10 year old Shiba Inu. He's such a wimp but I love that lil' brat. I thought my dog had sipped up some antifreeze this past Saturday, but to our luck we had 50/50 antifreeze, so its animal safe. He had a stroke, and he's home now, But he's still acting drunk. His eye sight is shot, he likes to go in circles and run into walls, and you know I felt bad at first, but now I just laugh. He slips on the wood floors. I feel so bad for him. is he always gonna be like this or will it get better as the days go by?

I have a 9year old greyhound. We adopted him four and a half years ago. He has been showing signs of "doggy dimentia". He gets lost in the backyard and forgets where the door to the house is and trys to walk into walls. He will walk into the glass patio door when it is closed. He will bark to go out at night several times and have an accident anyways(happening more frequently). He will bark to go outside, when we let him out he stands at the door and looks in. He has liver disease but still seems pretty healthy otherwise. He eats well but still is a bit thin. We have seen the vet and there is really nothing that they can do. Last night I was up 6 times with him barking to go outside but still woke up to a mess this morning. Does anyone have any tips on dealing with a dog that has dimentia?

I have a male Dachshund who has always been an outside dog. He would always dig holes and tear up his toys etc. I never really cared too much because the yard was a mess anyway, and he didn't have to many toys. Well now i am about to move into an apartment, and i want to bring him with me, but every time he is inside he destroys everything he can (chews on EVERYTHING with a goal of tearing it apart). I can not stand to not have him with me there, but i'm not sure how i can train him to stop tearing up things without losing a couple thousand dollar furniture in the process. i know i could keep him in a cage or enclosed, but i plan on turning him into a house dog anyway. i wish i would have started sooner when he was a pup. Any advice how to keep him from tearing things up while i'm gone without worrying how many things he'll tear up a day and without locking him up all the time?

my 3month old puppy is likes to pick up things with his mouth when we go for a walk. The thing is he eats them. Today he tried to eat small rocks. I'm kinda scared that he would choke on them. I always leave food for him at home so he is not starving. He also ate plant leaves and branches today. Is it normal? or is he too young to know what he should be eating and what he shouldn't be eating?
He is my baby and I won't want anything to happen to him.

I got my pug puppy implanted with an avid chip. Initially it is registered to my vets office - so any calls about her would go to their office if she were missing. I would have to pay another fee to the avid chip company (I think $30) to have any calls come directly to me. I was not told this upfront. Is this worthwhile? Has anyone had their pet returned because it was chipped?

We are taking her to the vet tomorrow, but I am so worried... any suggestions on getting her to eat? She wouldn't even eat a pork chop.....

(From those who remember me asking about if my Chiuahua Mix was able to give birth to my Dachsund mix's puppies..They came out fine! 4 Boys! The last one, a Runt, Came out with the Dachsund markings..with the brown and Black..Thanks for the help!)

My Question is this..

My Four 3 Week old puppies are teething and tend to bite on our fingers..Their teeth are super sharp..what can I buy them to chew on? They are really small pups, Nearly fitting into the palm of your hand..slightly bigger. Thanks!
