We have a 10 year old Shiba Inu. He's such a wimp but I love that lil' brat. I thought my dog had sipped up some antifreeze this past Saturday, but to our luck we had 50/50 antifreeze, so its animal safe. He had a stroke, and he's home now, But he's still acting drunk. His eye sight is shot, he likes to go in circles and run into walls, and you know I felt bad at first, but now I just laugh. He slips on the wood floors. I feel so bad for him. is he always gonna be like this or will it get better as the days go by?

My old boy had a stroke. He did recover quite a bit, but not completely..However, he seemed to be enjoying life, and that was all that really mattered. He lived about a year after his first stroke, but the second one took him..He was 16 years old, and had a second stroke while making love to his wife of many years, also 16 years old....I think most guys would wanna go that way..

First of all, I can't believe you are laughing at him for running into walls after having a stroke. Secondly, it's just like with people, he may get better but he probably will always have some problems. Didn't you discuss this with your vet before he left the hospital?

He may or may not get any better. It just depends on how bad the stroke was, and there aren't really any ways to check how bad it is on dogs.
