Did he eat it in pieces or all in one go? How big was it? Was it cooked?

Watch him for vomiting, upset stomach with blood, lack of appetite, and obvious discomfort in his stomach e.g laying in an unusual position, heaving, burping, tenderness. I'd keep him quiet, and watch him carefully for the next few days.

If you are worried about the bone having splintered, feed him several slices of high fiber bread soaked in egg. This will coat sharp objects and can protect his intestines, but do not depend on it alone. Good luck, and don't kick yourself - the only way we learn is by making mistakes.

If it was a beef rib bone then your dog should be fine. If it's a pork rib bone then you need to watch for vomiting or choking because pork and chicken bones splinter when chewed or broken and that can cause damage in the dogs throat. As long as the dog is acting fine and there are no signs of choking or bleeding in her mouth then she should be ok. Just make sure to keep all bones but beef out of reach of your dog.
