My 3 months old puppy won't play with his toy but play with my roomate's dog's toys. I try to give him similar toys that my roomate's dog has but he would play with it for a while then always goes back to my roommate's dog's toys. I don't really like it when he does this since my roommate's dog has very bad flea problems.
Why won't he play with his toys? what other toys should I get him. He is starting to teeth. Also does your puppy go crazy with stuffed animal? My puppy looks possessed when he is biting his toys...as if he is trying to take it apart...it kinda scares me. I don't want him to be aggressive.

I've had my Peek a Pom for a month now. She does great with Pee Wee pads. Our house is all ceramic tiles. She never pees or poops on the tiles but constantly poops and pees on our expensive rugs. Is it the Pee Wee pads...does she not know the difference? HELP PLEASE!

My dog's upper lid is red and looks painfull. I just noticed today, and I don't know what it is. He is an indoor only dog, we never let him out and he has no contact with other animals. We take good care of him and someone is pretty much always with him, so we don't know when or how he might have injured himself. Does anyone have advice?

Would it be unfair to leave them home alone while I go to work?

Your honest input would be greatly appreciated, and thank you in advance for your thoughts.

The first right answer gets the 10 points.

I found a large knot on my new rescue dog's back last night. It's about the size of a quarter and rock hard. Doesn't move. Has no discoloration on the skin but one very small red spot near the center. What is it?

*** I took him to the vet first thing this morning so I found out what it was but didn't have a clue beforehand! Just curious to see the knowledge going around here on YA since my vet said that exact description over the phone told her exactly what it was.

*** Don't just answer it, tell what can cause it and what to do about it.

Just curious - cuz a lot of folks seem to think that they are just "animal lovers" when really they are downright scary!

i recently adopted what the humane society called a german shepherd mix at 8 weeks. we got her because she looked a lot like a german shepherd but as she gets older shes looking more and more like a begal not to mention has her nose to the ground constantly when outside. so my question is one is it even possible to breed the two given the huge difference in size and two why the heck would anybody want to? i mean were happy with her and love her to death but i guess im just curious if there may be some reason for it.

this was to be Destiny's last litter, she is a very healthy, beautiful 5 1/2 years old. im not sure why but she only had 1 puppy, and that one was not healthy. Destiny and her baby just got back from the vet this evening and then her baby died tonight. ( we think she died to fading puppy syndrome) now my akita is walking around the house and crying,... of course that breaks my heart because she is my baby.. is there anything i can do to help her not be so sad. and to keep looking for her dead baby? how long will she continue to do this?

OUr 13 month old male Black Lab races after the cat whenever it gets a chance. (outside) He recently did catch the cat and pinned him down and I thought that the poor cat was going to die. It was a frightening experience for me, not to mention for the cat! Fortunately the cat is now fine (it is said that cats have 9 lives) and wanting to go play again. I am just concerned that this could happen again.
