Ok, usually small breed dogs have a heat of about 7 days, although their heat can last as long as 21 days. You do not need to seperate them unless you don't want puppies. It takes betwen 60-63 days for a female dog to give birth. The earliest you can have a blood test done is around the 25th day after the last day they mated. Aroud the 45th day, your vet can palpatate the female dogs stomach and tell whether or not she is pregnant. The main thing you need to watch with them now is that when the male and female get together, the female does not move until the male has finished. Male dogs have an actual bone in there and if the female moves the wrong way, it can ruin the male dog for life. Just make sure you keep an eye on them, but usually the male won't try more than twice a day.

You shouldn't breed your dog when there are so many dogs without homes, but if they are in the middle of mating, DO NOT SEPARATE THEM. That could really hurt the female dog. If you had done any research before mating your dog, you would know that when dogs are mating, the male dog has a sharp protrudement that keeps the animals together. By separating them, this sharp object will rip the insides of the female. Before you try to mate her again, please do some research. If not for your sake, for the poor dogs' sake.

It's Chihuahua. And please just spay our dog instead. If you need to ask this question, then you probably won't know about properly taking care of the mother during pregnancy. You probably won't also know what do with the litter when it comes, to properly train them and socialize them when they come out. You will also need to take the dogs to vet to get their shots and all that. It's a big responsibility! Leave it to the professionals.

yes take her away to the vet immediatly and have her spayed. stop being a backyard breeder. if you were a reputable breeder you would at least know how to spell chihuahua properly. i'm sure she's pregnant and you have just helped contribute to the overpopulation of pets. good job, hope you're proud of yourself.

Its Chihuahua not 'chiwaya' (I assume, unless its some weird cross breed). Geez what is it with people not even knowing their dogs breed. If you dont even know that then what the hell are you doing breeding?
