umm ok, but why do you need a parvo shot? usually these are given to dogs. and if you want to be assured it's the best quality you NEED to have a vet administer it and check your puppy over. a feed store is just that a store for feed. would you go to the grocery store to have a splint put on you?

If your dog needs a parvo shot then the best place to go to is the vet, nor online or at a feed store. The vet will perform the necessary exam and administor the right vaccinations, if you need medication then the vet will administor and direct you on the medications.

If you purchase vaccinations from an online pet store or feed store then you really don't know what you are getting. The vaccination could be expired or not be held at the right temperature. If you administor the vaccination the wrong way then your dog's could die or be injured. That would be more money in vet cost compared to going to the vet and having it done right.

I would not recommend that you self vaccinate your dog for the reasons listing above as well as the liability that you may encouter.

It is best to go to the vet and get the shots the dog needs.
The vaccinations sold at the feed stores can not always be trusted unless u deal with a reptuable place which is risky.
a puppy needs more than one shot to protect against the parvo spread out over so many weeks. JUST GO to the vet and have it done, it is obvious u have not got a clue to what u are doing.

Usually the shots you get from the feed store are a multi-vaccine not just a parvo vaccine. The amount of vaccine you would need would depend on your dogs weight. There should be several to choose from at the store. Your dog should be older than eight weeks for its first shot, and most shots are given in a series, usually 3 shots in the 1st series, about 3 to 4 weeks apart and then a yearly booster shot. Please don't forget that pets also need rabies shots and you must get that from a vet. If you are unsure of your dogs age, weight, or vaccination history please take it to the vet.

I would not get vaccine from a feed dealer. Get it from a vet. A lot of these places are not trustworthy to get vaccine from. The vaccine needs to be refridgerated. I had been to a place where I saw a box of vaccine laying out, when I said something about it, an employee just put the vaccine back in the fridge. The vaccine was probably ruined, but they did not want to lose any money. Also, you don't know if you are getting high titer vaccine or not. Get what you need from the vet please.

I don't understand the question. Are you asking if feed stores carry the vaccine?

In any case, I have to agree with everyone else on this. It is important that the animal is checked by a vet before this vaccination is given.

if you want to vaccinate your pup on your own, got to petmeds.com that way you know you are getting fresh vaccine. However, it is best to have a vet check your pup over.
