What can I do to help? I mean sometimes he'll be sleeping and all of asuden whine loudly and squirm ever so slightly. I don't know what to do. I'm worried he's scared to go to sleep because whenever he's sleeping on my bed or at night he doesn't sleep at all he just lays there. What's going on? I'm scared for my little Casper. (West Highland White terrier)

I have noticed he's been drinking lots of water. He hasn't lost his appetite and still is quite happy. Can anyone suggest some ways to help him gain weight as he's starting to look awful.

I'm looking for a medium sized dog, not too much shedding because I plan to have it indoors. I'm looking for pure loyalty and companionship in this dog. A dog that can sleep on the end of my bed and ride with me in the car. Once again, loyalty , calm, freindly is most important. Female is also a must. So what breed of those below is best?

Female German Shepard
Female Australian Shepard
Female Lab
Female Schnouzer
Female Husky
Or any other suggestions?

My 14 wk old boxer puppy has developed a slight, throaty cough that almost sounds like she is trying to cough something up. She is still eating and drinking fine. She is still lively too. She has had all of her vaccinations. Should i take her to the vets?
Any suggestions?

They were together for about six years and had two dogs they adopted together. They had a house and were very comfortable and then his girlfriend started cheating on him. Since then the dogs have been staying with me and the rest of my family (it is very large) because my brother does not want her to take the dogs. Well since we have had the dogs they have been following me around constantly. It isn't that it bothers me but they bark at me and wine at me all the time, while I am asleep, and even when I go into the bathroom. Because I am trying to give them a lot of love I think my dog is getting very jealous. What can I do to make the dogs quit wining and barking at me and following me around?

I have a ringworm problem that isn''t going away. My dog has had it since October 15, it is now December 4. I have taken her to the vet twice. Skin scrap was positive for ringworm for 3 patches on her mussle (one right on her lip where she can lick it). Our vet first put her on Cavamox, 2 pills of Program (given 2wks apart), and topical Tresaderm (twice/day). Well, that only improved it alittle, so then we used (topical) Clotrimozole and held her mussle shut for 5-10 minutes (3 times a day). It has gotten better but still not gone. Our vet didn''t give any other advice for getting rid of it finally for good. So..my question is, is there something else I can give her or do that will clear it up quickly? I wonder if I could use human products on her because she can LICK them, or somekind of home remedy? Also, how do I know it is gone, what do I look for? Thank you for your time, it is greatly apreciated!
Very frustrated!!

Started limping a few fews ago... on his left rear leg... I took him to see the vet and the doc said he believed that he just "twisted" his back and would be better in a few days.... he got better... we moved and the a couple of days ago out of the blue he started limping again and that night he kept getting up and laying down and moving all oer the bed because it hurt so bad.. so I massaged his hip and back and it seemed to help.the next morning I was watching him walk away from me and his tail was up and I noticed a BIG knot right under his Anus almost in the middle but a little more over to the left side. It is as bis as a Half dollar coin. He is neutered By the way.... I need to get him to the vet and I will on payday but in the meantime does anyone have any idea what this may be???? it just popped up overnight...

well, her mom is pure basset hound, don't have any idea about the father...I'm sure he was black in color though.
she is 9 weeks old, seems like she is taller than a basset hound puppies in her age.
anyway, I'd appreciate any comments.

Every dog I've ever owned (of at least four different breeds) reacted to vaccum cleaners oddly. They bolt in terror at the first sight of it, and sometimes bark hysterically. Surely other people notice similar trends.

I was recently researching on the web on dog foods for no particular reason, and found that apparently, the commercial food brands (Hills, and Eukanuba) that I had been feeding my two Pomeranians, weren't using exactly the best of ingredients. I was very upset after seeing what the food was really concocted of after a little more web browsing, and so I asked many people about what dog food they'd reccomend. Almost everyone told me to go for Innova, and so I decided to go and buy that. Unfortunately, all of the stores that I went to, which included: Petsmart, Petco, and Trader Joe's, didn't supply it.

So frankly, does anyone know where I could get the Innova dog food brand here in Southern CA? I've been feeding my Poms just some rice and a mixture of vegetables along with some chicken and dietary supplements lately, as I'm too scared to even touch any of their old food now. I feel uncomfortable doing so though, especially as one absolutely hates brushing her teeth.

So.. Help please?

Ok it is now 11:31 p.m. central time and Miya my husky just delivered her hopefully last puppy. She had 2 solid white females, 2 solid white males, 3 black and white males. She was supose to just have 6 but there was a 7th suprise. Her delivery went well and there was no complications. All went as well as could have been. Thank you to all those who talked to me and calmed me down I do appreciate it. Me and Brian my boyfriend, and Miya +the 7 pups all thank you.

She lets this dog out early in the a.m. and every day of the weekend, this dog barks constantly. I think it also barks at the wind ...passing cars...visitors that come to her or my house...anything and everything triggers this dog to bark..It is a constant nuisance for the whole block and its been going on for years....The authorities says there are channels you have to go thru to get rid of this dog...and the dog has to be caught in the act being a nuisance....any answers would be greatly appreciated....
