ANY well bred dog appears classy! I assume that everyone has seen a dog show, such as Westminster..and there is not a dog there that wouldn't be a class act..It all depends on the breeders devotion to breed standard, and the owner's training and grooming..
My dogs are perhaps the classiest of breeds, but I would never sell them to someone who just wanted them to enhance their own image..> http://images.google.com/images?client=firefox-a&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official_s&hl=en&q=afghan%20hound&btnG=Google+Search&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&sa=N&tab=wi

A Havanese. They are fairly rare, but gaining popularity. They are elegent with long gorgeous hair They are great with other animals and children. They are originally from Cuba and before their revolution they were only given to, usually by a business partner, or sold to the very wealthy. They are charming and adorable.

"Very classy" people aren't hands-on enough to appreciate a good dog. A good dog needs someone who cleans up after it, isn't afraid to get down on the floor and wrestle with it, and doesn't moan about hair shedding all over his designer suits and furniture. I'd go for the chihuahua if I were you.

It really depends on what your lifestyle is like. You should get a dog whose temperament, size, and living needs suit your own.

Don't get a dog for looks only, because chances are you'll get one that isn't compatible.

I suggest having a look around www.dogbreedinfo.com and researching it a bit before jumping right in.
Best wishes :]

If you think you're too "classy" for certain breeds, you have the wrong idea. Dogs are for companionship, they are not just an accessory to your style. But, please do check out this link, it's about finding the right pet for you. Make pet adoption your FIRST option! :)
