I got this e-mail from my cousin...about their new dog they adopted. Any ideas?

He kind of looks like a black golden retriever. He is VERY playful and chews anything and everything. He has eaten about ten pairs of underwear, three pairs of shoes, chewed a hole through the carpet on the stairs, and gnawed on my coffee table. I like him but he's so destructive. We give him plenty of bones and rawhide things to chew on, but he goes after our stuff anyway

My puppy will be a year on Christmas Eve and recently she's been going to certain spots of carpet and will dig at it and it the pieces that come off. Does this mean there is something wrong with her? How do I stop her (I've tried Nature's Miracle wich is suppose to stop this behavior but she loves the flavor of the product)?

Ok I have a male and female Min Pins,,, that we breed,, then we want to add another dog to our family so we adopted a female Rat Terrier from a local animal shelter,,, the day before we pick her up she had been spayed,, Here is my question my new rat terriers valva is swollen and she acts like she is in heat cause the other day i walked in and caught her and my male min pin in the middle of a tie,, What is going on with her is this normal for her to do this after she has been spayed? I have never had a spayed female before so i dont know if this is normal for them to do this,,, and sence i caught them in a tie,, I have noticed her haveing all the signs of being in heat cause she will back up to my male and curl her tail over,,, Im confused is this normal for her to do this???? Please dont insult me just cause im asking a question about this,,, so if you have something nasty or sarcastic then please dont answer Thank you and please if anyone knows what is going on please tell me!!!!

We have almost 2 feet of snow on the ground and after about 5 days my Astrailian Shepherd who is 5 months old has decided that his 'dog business' is some what interesting to eat. He has never done anything like this and it was my thinking that being that it is flash frozen so to speek he finds it different from regular 'dog business' that he usually leaves in the yard. I pick it all up all the time, so he has never had to really confront it much. I do so now, but when I do not he often messes with it. Does my frozen theory sound plazable?

First off I am not planning on breeding a dog/cat, I don't even own one but I was talking with a friend of mine about pet ownership and she said she heard ( she wasn't sure from who) that its healthier and best to have a female dog produce one litter and then neuter them rather than neuter without having puppies. I disagreed and said it shouldn't affect the health or happiness of the dog if she was neutered and didn't have a litter. Are there any Vet's or Breeders that know and why or why not? I know about pet overpopulation and am not advocating it I was just wondering about this question so please don't start attacking me or preaching, I just want an honest answer and to dispel this myth if it is one. (Sorry but I asked this of a pet site and got *yelled* at and accused of trying to push 'puppy mill' pregnancies and being part of the pet overpopulation problem', etc. etc.

What does this Dream mean????
I was at my brothers house( but it wasnt the same as his its was kinda a cross between my brothers house and my moms) and i seen my dog lying on the floor she kinda looked depressed and sadden. As i walked up to pet her she lifted her head and just stayed there and looked at me. Well after that i was on a bus going down a big hill up by my moms house and the bus wrecked into the gaurd rail and we was hanging over a very steap hill then i started to pray that no one would get hurt and to make sure my dog was going to be ok........ and i dont remember anything after that.............

Well my dog died in my arms 11-07-06. before she died we had and apointment to have her put to sleep at 2:45 that day and she died at 1:30.I was so devistated and still am. im crying right now to tell you the truth. after i woke up from that dream i was covered in sweat and was crying and now i cant sleep. can someone tell me what it means ?

For those of you who have intact pets and are not professional breeders, why have you not spayed/neutered your animals?

I’m not sure if there is a way to know what kind of coat puppies will have before they are born, like if one parent is a long coat and the other is a short coat, how do you know if the Chihuahua puppies will have a short or long coat?

My mom thinks that my dog may be neutered from an unknown previous owner (he was found in my aunt's garden when he was a little baby and we couldn't find the owner). Anyway, I can't really tell. When your dog is neutered is something done to the insides or the outside of the dog? What I mean is if my dog is neutered would it be visible on the outside.

I asked yahoo earlier about my dog drinking too much. After doing some of my own research, her symptoms are very similiar with this disease. Anybody know about how much the tests should run? Any medications/diets offered or suggested for this disease? What are her chances of having a good life?

I have a two-year-old Shih tzu. Had him since he was a pup. Bought him from a breeder. People ask me if he is albino, but he loves being in the sun. His fur is all white except for a brown patch around his face and he has blue eyes and a pink nose. All other Shih tzus I've seen have a black nose. I would appreciate whatever info you can give me. Thank you
