My mom thinks that my dog may be neutered from an unknown previous owner (he was found in my aunt's garden when he was a little baby and we couldn't find the owner). Anyway, I can't really tell. When your dog is neutered is something done to the insides or the outside of the dog? What I mean is if my dog is neutered would it be visible on the outside.

Look. What he was born with won't be there.

Neutered is what is done to a male dog and what it means is that the dogs testicles hae been removed.
So look under the dog and see if he has testicles if yes then he has not beed neutered if they are not there he has been done.
They make a product that some people have put back in to look like the dog has not been neutered called "nuticles" but this is not a common procedure and it is expensive to have done and almost nobody has it done.

If it appears that he has no testicles, he is probably neutered. However, he could be cryptorchid, which means that his testicles never descended (pups are born with the testes in their bodies, then they "drop" when about three or four months). The surefire way to find out - go to the vet and have a thorough physical and possibly bloodwork to determine his testosterone levels.

you should be able to feel whether the testicles are still there or not. If he was a baby he probably is not neutered though, most vets wait until about 6 mos before they neuter.

His balls will be missing if he's neutered. Being neutered means he doesn't have any swimmers. This does not mean he doesn't have the urge. Believe me, I have a 2 year old that loves to do the humpy humpy when he finds attractive females.

Does he have nuts? If he's not neutered he will have a "ball sack" hanging between the back legs. No nuts, he's neutered.

well...you should definitely be able to tell - to be more that visual - he won't have any balls. So if he was neutered he won't have any balls at the end of winky dink. If they are still there then he isn't. Good luck!

If he has kiwi's, he's not neutered. If he has a flapjack, he is neutered.

Sorry.....only way I could think of to say it!

if the dog is male it's easy. the testies are gone. just an empty (or missing) sack. if it's female, ask your vet.

Have you not taken this dog to a vet since you've had it?
