Our dog was stolen about a month ago, Just a little mixed breed like part beagle/fiest/mix, but my daughter loved her and she was a good dog. I want to get her another one for Christmas. I want a short haired small dog that will live indoors with us but can playand be comfortable in the out doors with us also.
What are some of the breeds I should consider ?

I have a 14 week old female chihuahua puppy who very recently developed a very inflamed rash in both of her ears. There is not odor coming from her ears that I can smell. I am planning on taking her in to my veterinarian, but I can't take her in until this weekend because my car broke down. I asked my vet what I can do to relieve my baby's ears until I can take her in and he said to use some aloe vera gel. When I went to get some for her, they had aloe with Lydocaine, and aloe 100% pure. I'm not sure if the Lydocaine will hurt her if she scratches her ear with the stuff on, and then licks her paw after, or if one of my other dogs licks it off cleaning her ears. I don't know which one to buy. Also I was wondering if you had any other suggestions on how I can bring some relief to her. I feel so sorry for her! Should I use Neosporin or Hydrogen Peroxide? Something that will not bring her more discomfort when I put it on her ears!Thank You! Serious Answers Only Please!

We feed him a 100g cup of burns three times a day, with occassional training treats and biscuits. He has been wormed and been checked with the vets. He is not fat, we walk him twice a day for 20 mins but if we let him off the lead he homes in on anything he can find to eat. He is well trained within the home and has two loving children who give him lots of attention. He is also very hard to control on the lead, and jumps all over any person or dog that he sees, so we bought him a halter lead. Has anybody got any other ideas on any of these matters? It would be muchly appreciated as he's a lovely dog who just needs to learn a few manners! He's a 5 month old brown Lab.

I have always wanted a dobermann ever since I was a kid. Now that my faithful alsation is getting on a bit I am in the market for getting a puppy. The thing is,I have two young children. I have read many articles, most of which seem to contradict each other. So wot I'm asking is this.... with the right upbringing are dobermanns okay to have with children or not. I'd love to hear from anyone who has both and their views. Many many thanksxxxxxxx mooxxx
PS my children are 6 and 8 and have spent their whole lives living with the alsatin so are used to big dogs and are very good with animals.....

I will be traveling this weekend and my dog is going with us. He is 35 pounds and is a spaniel/collie mix. He has never been on a plane before. I read it is not good to give them sedatives, but I want him to be relaxed on the plane.

Hello all - I have a 10 month old Jack Russell that sheds a HUGE amount of hair.
He is not a short haired or a long haired (hes in the middle). Its becoming really annoying cause there is hair all over the house and in the car.

Any suggestions...

I was told once to shave all his hair off??????

I took my 8 wk old puppy to the vet today for shots and they gave her a worm pill. A couple hours later from getting home from the vet she had an accident in our house. She pooped in my daughters room, and it looked like it had lots of cooked spaghetti noodles on top of it. So, I called my vet and she said good, it looks like she's getting rid of the worms. Well, she's pooped 5 times since then and they are still coming out. When will this stop? And is this contagious to people? Thanks, this is my first puppy and don't know alot about them.
