Hiya, it is possible to catch worms from dogs, by ingesting the worns eggs, that the worm lays around the puppys bottom. Never let pup lick your face and always wear gloves to pick up puppys poo as eggs are shed in faeces aswell.

I havent heard of anyone catching worms from puppies or dogs and i have had loads of them but i have just rung my vet and yes you can catch them but it is not a common thing but i was told that you should worm your puppy every 2 weeks until it is 12 weeks old then every month till it is 6 months old --- then every 3 months after that for life but all under vet supervision hope this has helped you.

Yes, you can catch dog roundworms, and tapeworm.
Remember the whole 'worms in dog mess make children go blind' debate?
Just wash your hands after you touch your pup, don't let him lick you, and stick to the worming schedule recommended by your vet.
Someone has posted the medicine you can buy over the counter.

Yes you can get worms from your pup. If I'm not mistaken I think they are pinworms. You would have to take an over the counter worm medicine. I would suggest washing your hands after touching the dog and cleaning up after it. Don't let it sleep in your bed either!

Yes you cajn get worms from your puppy. when cleaning up the wormy poop be careful, and bleach your hands after you clean it up. also clorox the spots the worms have been this will kill the eggs. Be clean and safe about it and you should be fine. If you suspect worms in you go to your doctor and they have medicine to rid you of the problem, but i doubt you have them.

You can so be careful to always wash your hands after touching him. Worms in humans can be cured with Pripsen - over the counter from a chemist but the whole family has to be treated xx

As long as you haven't managed to ingest them in any way you should be fine. Just make sure all "poopy" areas are well disenfected and the worming medicine starts to work in 24 hours anyway.

Humans do not catch worms from dogs. You can hold him, pet him cuddle him, and you won't get worms! Just keep giving him the medicine from the vet like you were told and he'll be fine...And do will you!
