i started searching craigslist yesterday to see if there were anybody looking for new homes for their pets. i was AMAZED! DOZENS of people were trying to give there dogs away. i emailed a few and called one. just to get more information. but i havent had any responses or calls. i wonder if craigslist is nothing but scams or what? i've never used that website before and have heard bad things on the news about it. just wondering if any of you know about it?

we have recently had a problem with our dogs allergies they keep swelling up and are very itchy. we have taken them to the vet and he said to give them benedryl and it has helped but we are trying to figure out what is causing it, we have 2 African sumac trees in the back yard that started blooming around the time of the first swelling episode does any one know it this could cause the swelling in our dogs...the vet says it's almost impossible to narrow it down to one thing but I'd like to try

I may be moving to the U.S. from Sydney next year with 3 yorkshire terriers. I am loathe to put them in cargo/baggage hold (heard horror stories) and am trying to find out if any airlines will allow them to stay with me in cabin. I have found plenty of info regarding the U.K., Europe and U.S. domestic travel, but nothing on a journey from Australia to the U.S. - I think it's a pretty long shot as it's such a long journey and realise that I would have to bring someone with me as I have 3 dogs and many airlines only permit 1 dog per human passenger. Does anyone know if any airlines definitely permit Sydney to U.S. travel with pets in cabin? Thanks! :)

I've been considering getting a beagle recently. I want the small kind that is equally proportioned. Do beagles make good pets? Do they get along well with other dogs? Are they easy to train? etc..

I bought 1 bunch of mistletoe to hang in the doorway at our house and my fiance freaked out saying its poisonous to dogs and was scared if it fell and they ate it, it would kill them. Is this true???? I have not heard of this before.

We just got a new puppy the other day, It has been 11 years since I have had to potty train and I want to make sure I am doing it right. We have been taking him outside as soon as he starts sniffing, rewarding him when he does his business, scolding him lightly when he does it in the house, and we have been slowly kenneling him. Can anyone give me any suggestions to help me out! Thanks.
ps he is a 7 week old black lab

My husband and I agreed to watch a Great Dane/ Black Lab mix dog. We were told it would only be for a couple of weeks and that he was a great dog. He didn't use the bathroom inside, he doesn't chew anything, he doesn't even eat all the food out of his bowl at one time. We are watching him for a friend of ours that went into boot camp but his gf was supposed to come and get him after 2 weeks.
The dog is horrible. He has chewed about $150 worth of various clothes, ruined a brand new comforter set on our bed, peed ALL OVER everything, not to mention the fact that he had worms when he got here that we still can't rid of which makes him have diahrea (sp?) all over the apartment, he doesn't listen, he has taken off 3 times.... he's a nightmare.
Here's our problem.... We are moving and we can't move until he's gone. He was supposed to have been gone 2 times already and it has been about 2 months now. What should we do with him without pissing anyone off??

I already made reservations for my toy poodle to go with me in the passenger cabin. I called United Airlines to ask them what health certificates specfically I had to bring, but the person on the other line was lost and didn't know what I was talking about. So, has anyone flown domestically (USA) with a small dog as carry-on on United? Do I need to take my dog to the vet within 10 days of departure for a health certificate? And I'm going to be in Denver for 7 days, so do I have to take him to the vet there, too, for another documentation? Thanks! Is there anything else I should know from experienced flyers?
