Dogs are very intelligent.. and they know when their owner is "worn out"...that's when they take advantage and seek attention.

With all that you and they have been through, you must be exhausted and you may not be acting the same way with them as you did. Time to tell them off about the chewing and potty in the house...they will be receptive to the attention.

Also, your husband is away, my dogs take advantage of me when my husband is away, they don't react to the sound of my voice like they do to his lower voice.

I'm from Ontario, and I know the distance you've travelled, I'm amazed you're not "chewing" up things..lol

take care of "you" too..

Sounds like stress to me. Dog obviously handle stress differentely and it usualy causes them to act out and do things they normal know better not to do. I would pay as much attention to them as possible with the moving and pregnancy. Try looking for dog parks in the area where they can run it off and socialize. Get extra chew bones (try filling with peanutbutter) so they have something better and tastier to chew on. But aside from that I think all it will take is some time and readjustment to new surroundings before they may chill out a bit.

It could also just be their adolescence seeing as how their only 8months.

They are puppies and my guess it they have started this bad behavior because of all the moving. They haven't really had as much stability because of it, but the problem needs to be addressed. It's going to be a lot harder to break them of the habit since you have two, because one going in the house usually makes the other one do it too. I would just start to house break them like usual. If you see one get ready to or start to go, take it outside immediately. Make sure they have plenty of good things to chew on that is not your furniture too. Rawhide is good because dogs love the taste and it takes some of them forever to get through it all. If you see on start to chew on something he shouldn't pull him away and say no, or give him a little swat, just hard enough to startle him so he gets the picture that he's not allowed to chew on certain things. I have also heard that an empty coffee can with some change in it can work well too if you shake it hard right near them so it startles them.

HELLO- those dogs are stressed and confused. Do you think you have the time, energy etc for two large puppies right now?Dogs like routine and that is something they haven't seen in awhile. Sounds like you have been making a lot of hard choices lately and you may still have a couple more to make. good luck

Among many types of breeds of dogs, labs are known to be able to read their humans a great deal.
They sense the immense burden of instability in your life, and hence theirs as well. They can also feel that they may lose out when things get any more unstable.
Try to see things more clearly in your own mind, plan your future and visualize this with them in it, They can sense your thoughts and will feel more secure.

Also be sure to feed them at regular times so they know that their food source is not one of the things to worry about.

With all the moves, it sounds like they're stressed out. Give them some extra love, and make sure that you keep on top of them...take them out to go potty, and praise them when they do it outside.
As for the chewing, if you can keep the 'chewables' away for a while, that may help, or you may have to yell at them one good one.

I can sympathise with you, in my opinion first of all dogs are very sensitive to changes in lifestyle, they expressing their discomfort with the way things are going, you will need to try to carry a positive attitude with lots of positive reinforcement, they will eventually go back to what it was, the chewing however may be related to that but more than likely they would have started that anyway.

Your dog is confused. Humans can rationalize all the goings on but, dogs cant. This dog needs time to settle and feel secure again. Just about the time that happens your bringing a baby into the equation. This dog only needs time and understanding.Hope you will have time to give that to it.

possibly you could ask him to have a three way and ask him if the third guy or woman may well be a guy and if he gets mad approximately tell him which you have been joking yet while he's not bisexual or gay i don't see why he might get so offended... purely asserting from adventure my grand father got here out of the closet after having 4 youngsters. So possibly he's gay...

It's anxiety. Stop moving or find them a stable home. If you are staying put a while ,start with lots of exercise. It will be hard for them to be stressed when they are worn out. You will probably have to start from scratch and re-train them, but if they were trained properly before they should pick it up quickly.*** The most important thing is to stop stressing them out.***
