I bought a rottweiler in a puppy shop where they assured me it is a purebred dog. But he kind a looks like a mixbred. I wonder if there are any specific sings i can look for that will tell me if it is indeed a purebred.

She is one year old and thin. I feed her well and often but doesn't gain weight. I was wanting to go to GNC and get weight gainer, but I have heard that things like that may be bad for dogs. Any suggestions?

My dog is terribly terribly death defied when it comes to his feet. His claws are so long because it is such a fight to get them cut. I do not like tranquilizing him to do it because for the whole day he is walking into things and falling down. What should I do?

he still drinks water and he'll only allow me to hand feed him very little food. he doesnt show any signs of pain, panting, nor is he vomitting or have any diahrea, although my son did actually feed him a little chocolate icecream cake but from what i researched i dont believe thats whats wrong with him. i did notice a slight cut on the side of his lip, maybe thats whats causing him to not want to eat and therefore appear lethargic? any suggestions would be appreciated.

thanks.

My dog thinks she's a cat. Licks herself..Stretches like a cat. Sleeps on the back of a couch, like a cat. And to top it off , she loves catfood ,while her dogfood sits in her dish getting stale. Funny stuff. But i just want to know. thanks . Only answer if you're serious. Please no stupid remarks. I seriously want to know. thanks again :o)

The vet said he was a pekingese, but that can't be possible since his mom didn't look anything like pekingese, and his dad looked like a siberian huskey... Can anybody help? Here's his photos:

I have been looking everywhere for a reasonably priced fawn or apricot coloured pug puppy. I don't want to breed it or show it, it will just be a pet so I'm not too fussed about it coming from accredited breeders. The best price I have found so far is 800 pounds but I haven't got this kind of money. Can anyone help?

I live with my retired parents, who have agreed to look after the dog while i am at work, they would prefer a labrador sized dog that is as happy being around the house as it is out running in the fields, i would like something similar that would protect our house and us if necessary, but in general id like it to be quite sociable.

We have no other pets and no children in the house either. Any ideas????

If my dog gets a chance to get off his lead he is gone. I don't know an effective way to keep him from doing this. He minds real well when we are in the house. But when we walk out the door it is a different story. I will not hit him when I catch him. That would only make him run more in my opinion. Any serious solutions out there.

My dog is 6months old and she was badly abused, she was rescued from an abused shelter, She as low self esteem. How do I teach her not to lick me so much without letting her think she is in trouble and that a little is okay but not a complete bath.
