I have been looking everywhere for a reasonably priced fawn or apricot coloured pug puppy. I don't want to breed it or show it, it will just be a pet so I'm not too fussed about it coming from accredited breeders. The best price I have found so far is 800 pounds but I haven't got this kind of money. Can anyone help?

On ePupz, pug crosses are from £150 - some of the crosses look gorgeous ... the lowest priced actual pug puppies that I saw were £600 (up in Yorkshire) but they weren't kc registered.

You might get a registered pedigree Pug adult for under £800 though (there are some for sale on ePupz) or perhaps you could check with Pug Welfare to see what might be available:

and I don't know whether or not this site will be of any help:

Never ever buy a puppy online without actually meeting the owners and the dog and make sure they have all the certificates. Try the pug shelter, or ring the RSPCA and Battersea dog and cat home and ask if they have any pugs. Or if you see anyone who owns a pug why not ask them if they could give their breeders number?

If a puppy is selling cheap thats a sign there could be something wrong with the puppy and that the breeders are not good breeders. It could end up costing you a lot of money with vet bills and heartache.

omg I think those names are adorable. I like Pugs. I have an American Eskimo Dog. His name is Watson. He looks like a pure white husky. Watson is a Minaiture American Eskimo Dog. The Miniatures are my favorite size. He plays hard and loves vigorous exercise. Watson is a good watchdog too. He is a very bright dog. Watson likes to run around the house like a crazy dog. He will also jump up on me when he wants attention. He did this more when he was a puppy, but still does it sometimes. He has serious seperation anxiety. Once when I was gone for five hours at a party, he destroyed my entire couch. I've never left him alone that long again. But, Watson will do whatever he wants. I have to get mad at him for him to stop bad behavior. He hates all people he doesn't know. Watson sheds all over the place. He barks a lot too. But, I love him. He is my baby. I wouldn't trade him for anything in the world. I use a nylon harness on him when I walk him. I would never use a choke collar. He wears an Easy Walk harness because he pulls. I take him to the dog park every morning. I let him have fun and be himself, not treat him like a soldier, like a lot of self proclaimed "good owners" do. Watson is neutered. He has been neutered since he was 8 weeks old. I neutered him the day after I got him. When he got kennel cough I took him to the vet the same day. I feed Honest Kitcehn Embark, not that yucky stuff you can get from Walmart. I would never use a shock collar on him or an electric fence. I use positive training methods.

Buying a "cheap" puppy from a breeder who is not reputable is like buying anything cheap. Generally you get what you pay for & a cheap puppy now could well mean expensive vet bills later. Get in touch with one of the Pug Breed Clubs. You'll probably have to wait for a well bred puppy so you can save up in the meantime.

Have you tried a pug rescue or checked at the shelters around you? It might be a place to go :)
