Someone told me that you shouldn't let your dog sleep on or play with your clothing because he'll chew it up and not know the difference between chewing what you give him and chewing up clothing you do not want him to chew.

my dog did it for years and chewing my old sweatshirts to pieces gradually, mostly from dragging it around but also he just liked to chew parts of it off (he didn't like logos, the stiching wasn't comfy I guess) but he never chewed up any clothing that someone was wearing or that was out around him unless I gave it to him.

Of course he never ate food unless I gave it to him either, or I nudged it towards him if it fell, so maybe he is just weird?

We know she ate them because we found a few pieces and think that we can feel them in her belly. We're very worried and it's late on a Sunday. Anyone have some advice? I'm about to call some vets but I don't think anyone is open.....

Has anyone ever heard of a continuous heat? I have had problems with a ***** I was trying to breed for the first time (on her third heat) I am experienced, with years of double registered purebred huskies and have never had problems like this female is giving me. I have already decided to spay her, but I dont know when as she seems to be having so many issues.

First thing was four months ago, regular heat, several sucessful ties, no babies

1 month ago, more ties, confused me completely! Was told it could be a split heat.

Now shes bleeding agian, and mating again. We live in a tiny city, so a vet trip will require a trip, which I plan on doing tomorrow. Has anyone ever heard of a disease in which the female stays in a continuous heat? Is something inside messed up, why would she be bleeding again? Again I plan on taking her in tomorrow, but does anyone know anything I can look up to figure out whats going on? She will be spayed as soon as its safe to do so.

My dog is trained to go potty outside. However, he does not let me know when he needs to go out. The whole summer he could go outside on his own when he needed to go. Now that the weather is colder and the door is closed, he cannot go outside unless he lets me know and I open the door. He either doesn't know how to let me know or he doesn't want to. Either way, I'm finding surprises every morning and sometimes throughout the day. I need help in training him. I've tried bells. He seems to be afraid of them. Any suggestions?

I am getting a large male standrard poodle. This puppy will not have any cuts that make it look like the show dogs, it will look like a regular dog. So it's hair wont be in puffs at the hips, and stuff like that. Anyways, I am looking for a unique or interesting dog name. Thanks!

Ok this is going to sound stupid, but I have to ask....I have a German Shepard/Yellow Lab mix, and I am going to get another dog within the next 6 months. He seems to get along with other dogs, and I haven't seen any aggressive behavior in him. My question about this...are there certain breeds of dogs that do not get along with other dogs of different breeds, or their own? He seems to get along with any dog, but I want to get a smaller dog next time I adopt. I assume when I find another dog I should introduce the two before bringing him/her home am I on the right track here? I know some dogs are more hyperactive and so on, so what would be a good match?
