Feeling a dog's nose is like putting your hand on a kid's forehead. It's a way to tell if they have a fever. A dog's nose should normally be somewhat cool and moist. If it's warm and dry, they may be hot. But then again, they may not be. It's not a really effective gauge. Just like your kid's head might feel hot because he's been sitting in the sun or running around or something.
If the dog doesn't have any other symptoms, I wouldn't worry about it. But if he's off his feed, throwing up, acting weird, etc etc, take him to the vet.

If the dog's nose is wet, it is because he has been licking it. It is a myth to think that a wet nose equals a healthy dog.

Being a vet tech and in veterinary college, that is an old wives tail. A wet or a dry a warm or a cold nose means nothing at all.

A dog's (or cat's) nose may be very wet and cool one moment then be warmer and not-so-moist the next. All in the course of a day.
However, prolonged dry, cracked nose, particularly with loss of pigmentation, scabs or open sores should definitely be examined by your veterinarian.

I dont think so. It may be dry because it may be dry wherever you keep the dog. If that is the case, put a little bit of vaseline on the nose. If it is still dry, take your dog to the vet.

A healthy dog has a cold wet nose. If your dog's nose is dry, then yes, he probably isn't feeling too good. It's nothing serious, unless he has other symptoms, as well.
