Has anyone ever heard of a continuous heat? I have had problems with a ***** I was trying to breed for the first time (on her third heat) I am experienced, with years of double registered purebred huskies and have never had problems like this female is giving me. I have already decided to spay her, but I dont know when as she seems to be having so many issues.
First thing was four months ago, regular heat, several sucessful ties, no babies
1 month ago, more ties, confused me completely! Was told it could be a split heat.
Now shes bleeding agian, and mating again. We live in a tiny city, so a vet trip will require a trip, which I plan on doing tomorrow. Has anyone ever heard of a disease in which the female stays in a continuous heat? Is something inside messed up, why would she be bleeding again? Again I plan on taking her in tomorrow, but does anyone know anything I can look up to figure out whats going on? She will be spayed as soon as its safe to do so.

It could well be a cyst on her ovaries..she needs to be seen by a vet and soon, before it becomes more serious or fatal.

Yes It happens from time to time with livestock its caused by a failure to ovulate properly so they are infertile while having this problem - hormone treatment will frequently get them out of it but there is a good possibility they will just start up again at the next regular heat. I'm not sure if a vet would just spay a dog with this or treat them to get them out of heat first..

Glad to hear you are having her spayed. Yes, there are metabolic disorders that can cause this problem as well as cysts and even cancer. Please have her spayed asap. This will be a drain on her system if you don't.
