What type of dog is a deer chihuahua, I trying to ask if its a good watch dog? Because the Jack Russell Terrier we had was; and it was very hyper and was ran over. I'd like to get another deer chihuahua for now though, just let me know if its a good watch dog?

Most Chichis will bark at anything that goes bump in the night or day and they love to bit ankles. An buy the way they just real don't care how big the ankle is thy want it. Yes all in all I would say that to be little tykes they will let you know when something is going on an will wake you up to see what it is. Yes I think they make a pretty good little watch dog.

A Chihuahua is alert and quick to let you know when there are intruders..and their bark will keep most intruders away..
A deer Chihuahua is just a Chihuahua bred with the narrower head and longer leg than the correct Chihuahua..

well if you think your dog is a good watch dog then you should get another one and your 12 year old dog should be put down to sleep because its probably in pain.
