My dog seems sick today. Wont eat her fav treat, panting, has no energy. Maybe its a bad nite's sleep, but..? She's just really lethargic, but it's only been 2 hours, so I can't say for sure what it is. She was panting lightly a little bit. I haven't fed her yet, but I know she won't eat anyway. She's very picky with food in general. She's 1.5 years old, and an almost 13 pound poodle mix. Right now she's just sleeping on the couch. Her poo was normal, and she peed normally as well. No vomiting. Any of your doggies ever get this way? She slept really late, and woke up early, and sometimes she gets lethargic when that happens, but she's never panted/not eaten her treat.

I have decided to choose from either of these breeds of dogs. I would like some feedback on actualy owners or breeders with knowledge of either kind. The three main traits I am weighing out,in order of importance are, Loyalty- Good With Children- Obediance. I am single, have a house with a yard, and will be leaving the military to attend college. I will have plenty of freetime to train and play with the dog. I am looking for a loyal companion that I can take with me when I go out. Thank you for your time in responding. If you have any other suggestions please feel free to comment. Thank you.

i got my dog spade almost 4 weeks ago. Just today, I saw her wound was a little red and puffy and there was a little dirt on the end. I pulled the dirt off, and it grabbed about half an inch of a stitch (which were the disolvable, internal ones). i ended up cutting that part off, and it hardly bled at all and she seems fine, but should I be worried? The vet is closed today.

She is a golden retriever going through tests because she is losing weight and this is the only food she will eat. The vet is really expensive costing about £1/35 a can. Is there any where on the web that I can buy it cheaper?

What is healthier for small breeds, canned or dry food? I've been feeding my puppies dry Nutrience Puppy since I got them. I got a free sample of canned that I gave them to try and they gobbled it right up. Should I swich food types or is dry food better for them?

I know it sounds really gross right? But seriously, I'm about to leave my boyfriend of four years. In that time, we've lived together, acquired some material possessions, and bought a dog together. Everything's been right down the middle. I honestly think we'll be able to divvy up everything after it's all said and done, but how do you manage to share a dog? I know it's not a kid or anything so you don't have to deal with all that legal stuff, but my dog feels like our kid sometimes. I love him so much. I know my boyfriend is gonna be really concerned about him, who he stays with and whatnot. I just don't know what to suggest for this especially since we'll be living 200miles apart. Who gets custody of the dog? Or is there a right way to have "joint custody." It's retarded I know. But if you knew this dog, you'd do anything for him too.

I have a problem, i live with my bf of 3yrs and we recently got two beagle puppies. The problem is he loves them and i hate them! They chew up everything, are not pottie trained, and just stink. It would make our lives so much easier and we would fight less if i didn't hate them so much. Any ideas on how i can not be so disgusted by them?
