She's a small Pomeranian, and I just want any advice or important information that the vet might not give me. I want to be as prepared as possible

I have a 5 year old white maltese poodle.

He has had skin problems for quite a while now (extremely itchy). He has also had a number of ear infections. He had allergy testing done and it turns out that he has a number of food allergies. He is now on a hypoallergenic diet.

He had allergen shots, but that proved to be a bust. Not only was it traumatic for both of us (I had to give him the shots), but he was even itchier and again got ear infections. The shots were terminated, and the ear infections cleared up, but he is still really itchy.

These days, he scratches until he gets sores on his chin, and he licks his paws until they are red.

If anyone has any suggestions, please help. Shampoos? Medicines? Diets? Any ideas welcome.

He's socialized to other dogs since I take him to a dog park regularly. But, he is really picky with who he'll be friendly with. He's a small dog, so he's usually very playful with other small dogs. When he sees a big dog, 99% of the time, he goes into aggressive mode and will pull, bark, and growl at the other dog. I will yell at him "No!" and pull him and try to make him sit still, but once he's started, it's hard to get him to calm down. Then, on the rest of the walk, he remains "on alert" and will be more aggressive towards dogs he normally would play with. Why does he do this? Does this mean he's an alpha-dog?

My chihuahua had 7 puppies but all were given away after two months.... and I never got to see how they would treat each other as adults.... she was a great mom and she took very good care of them and always played with them... but she did get angry and try to bite a one puppy when she tried to eat her food.

So would they have remained very close and got along like friends or would she always be a mom trying to take care of them and protect them? Whenever another dog came close, she would get between them and growl protecting her children.

My friend's dog is a four month old boxer. He is darling and learns very quickly. Until you attach a leash to his collar. He then turns into a gymnastic shark, flipping and biting and straining. I have never seen anything like it. Is this normal for boxers and what do we do to stop it? I spent about 15 minutes just letting him flip out, thinking he would get over it, but it didn't happen! Help!!

Ok I asked a question earlier and everyone kept telling me that after i get him neutered to put him through obediance classes b/c he is aggressive. I don't understand how I would be able to put him in obediance classes if he is aggressive. Don't get me wrong I will try anything to make him aggresive, Please give some advice so I can try to make him better. thank you.

I know a vet can do it b/c i keep being told to neuder him but I was just wondering how the vet would do that if he is aggressive.

her Mother was Noelle; her grandmother was Chenny. What's next in line for this little pup? Can anyone think of any good names? We've crossed Bailey out, but I'm open to any other suggestions! Thank you! :-)

She's obviously slowed down over the past couple years, but right now, for the past 12 hours or so, she's been just lying around, and when you hold her close, you feel her shake every time she inhales.

Her exhales are smooth.

Anything I can do to make her feel better? Is this something they do before they die?

thanks

My dog was lying in my room & when I went to take him out he slowly walked to the stairs (he'd have to walk down 7 stairs). Instead of coming down he laid down on the top stair & he yelped when we tried to coax him down. I checked him & he was shaking & when I went to see what was wrong I tried to pick him up he yelped & snapped at me. I got a treat to see if he'd eat it. Initially no, which is very strange for him, but then he did eat it.

I thought it was a broken or badly sprained limb. I tried to get him into the crate & he yelped like crazy & was biting. I called the vet just as they were closing. Eventually he made it to the living room. While he lie there I bent each joint & pushed on all parts of his stomach, body, etc. to locate the pain but can't find anything. He did walk to the kitchen for dinner scraps so I thought he was OK, but now he is just laying halfway under the bed & depressed.

Does this seem like something serious or just a mild sprain or tummy ache?

My parents Chihuahua, Pepito lifts his leg and squirts in various spots in the house. He does go outside on a regular basis and even asks to go outside. Do you think getting him neutered would stop him from squirting in the house?

We have a 6 year olf Lab/Pit mix. He has had digestive problems as long as we have had him. The past 2 days he has had a lot of gas and very bloody, foul smelling diarrhea. He is acting normal, eating and seems to be feeling fine. We have 2 other dogs and they are not showing any symptoms at all. When I took him out earlier, it seems that he pooped pure blood. We know that he does NOT have parvo.....Please help!! Thanks
