My Jack Russell has a really bad underbite where a few of his teeth on his bottem jaw completely stick out. I don't know whyit does that, we never played or pulled roughly with his toys. But now one tooth appears to be loose. He is about 5 years old. What should we do about that tooth, I'm afraid that it might start hurting him when he eats or plays. Can you remove dog teeth?

Okay, so two weeks ago I got a puppy from my sister's friends family. They raise cockapoos. Well, the puppy I bought was never really healthy, and a week after getting him he was diagnosed with parvo. According to the vet the incubation period is 10-14 days so he must've contracted it from the other family. Well, since Duke passed away from the disease they've offered to give another puppy a 3rd vaccination, wait a few days to get the vaccination going, and let us take the new one home. I've bleached everything in the house, tiles, carpet, and even sprayed the lawn with bleach to kill the virus. With the new puppy being vaccinated 3 itmes, is it safe to get a new one? My husband and I are so sad about the other one and think that a new puppy will help the greiving process by giving us something else to love on. We've wanted a puppy so long! What do you think?

My pomeranian of 7 years recently passed away at night. In the past year, she has been suffering from seizures and liver infection. After her passing, I feel an extreme hollowness inside. I thought about getting another dog to replace her. Should I wait until the grief is gone before I get another dog?

I got a puppy today and ever since we got her this morning, she's been having 'throat convulsions' and her stomach does the same. This is happening every 10-15 minutes. At the end, she always gags, but has not vomited at all. I doubt that she has anything stuck in her throat because she can still eat normally. Help please!

I think I herd that once. If so, what is better lemon juice or lemon oil?
Thanks!

I have a 13 month cockapoo/bichon female dog. I'm pretty sure that she has been in heat twice already but I think that she's going into heat about every 4-5 months. Is this possible? Thanks

When my dog is sleeping in the doorway she has peed and layed in her pee several times.. It's been about three times in the last 5 days. I can't afford to take her to the vet until next week. Is there anything I can do to help this situation? She only pees while laying down in the same doorway. Please help. Thank you

Our puppy went into heat the 2nd week of October. It is now November 10th, and her vulva is still enlarged, and her nipples are swollen as well. Will this ever end? We've watched her fairly constantly, so we don't think she could be pregnant.
Will her nipples ever shrink down again?
Thanks!

I had my dog for about 3 years before I met my boyfriend. He knew I had a dog before he moved in...we been together for 7 months. Recently my dog ate rat poison and he helped the dog throw it up. A couple of days later when he was getting out of the car, he almost twisted his ankle because we was rushing and the car was slightly moving. (Yeah I know, I should of pulled over) But when I mention that I wanted to make sure that my dog was ok by taking her to the vet, he got all upset and said that I care more about the dog than him and we got into this heated agrument and now we're like in limbo bearly speaking to each other. This isn't the first time he mention that I care more about my dog than him. Is it me? I try to balance my boyfriend and the dog, but this isn't good enough for him. What should I do?

Ok, so I know I've given many others advice on grieving a lost pet.

The truth is, I haven't grieved my dog I lost 6 months ago. I'm aware that I HAVE to allow myself to grieve. I have not because I feel so helpless and the sadness is overwhelming.

I got Maverick 15 years ago as a puppy from a shelter and as silly as it may sound to some of you, he was my soulmate. Having gone through my teenage years with me, the birth of my son at a very young age, as well as all the other major changes in my life in the last ten years, he was my only constant. He meant everything to me. I sometimes feel that he could still be with me had I not put him down. Like there was soemthing else I could have done. I can't talk about him let alone think about him. I have his ashes in an earn with his collar, a treat from the neighbor (who babied him) as well as a snip of hair from his tail. How unhealthy is my reaction? What am I supposed to DO?

PLEASE, no smart a** comments.

Yesterday my boyfriend took my dog to the vet and she recommeded that my dog either A) be put on medication to stall the onset of Arthritis or B) Have surgery for luxating Patella (at $1500 per knee)
Here's the catch: My dog is very active, happy, and healthy. I have never noticed any symptoms of luxating patella at all!! I'm suspicious that the vet is trying to make a sale.
Has anyone else experienced this type of situation?
I'm definitely going to get a second opinion, and if they disagree I'm switching vets.

I adopted by 7 mos old. husky/lab/shep/terrier cross (not really sure....I guess you could call him a purebred mutt..lol!!) from the pound so he is at a local shelter all day for the procedure?

What should I expect demeanor wise and also in taking care of him?

I have four cats, should allow them to be around together or keep them away?
